I might be the only one here that thinks this but,
I don't think this is a kids show anymore. The Last Airbender was, but Korra is not.
Aang was 12 years old (actually 112 but he lived for 12 years), Korra is 17 years old.
The first show first aired when I was 10 years old, Aang was relatively close to my age and he acted like I would. There were more silly things 10 year old me would enjoy such as Sokka's funny quirks and the cabbage guy in TLAB. In LOK there are teen romances and suicides and bending being taken away. It is a much darker show than before. I think that the Avatar series has grown up with us, much like how Harry Potter did. I am open to debate about this and I want to know what you guys think.

Murder-suicide. Animal abuse. Children fighting against their father. Turning kids gay from exposure to the masculinity of Iroh. Underage love. Human torture. It's essentially a giant fuck you to all media watchdogs

Oh come on, Funnyjunk. That's just being hypocritical. You guys always complain that cartoons these days are crap compared to the older ones. And 9 times out of 10, you liked the older ones because they weren't cushy, happpy, eveything-is-sunshine-and-rainbows shows. Look at Courage the Cowardly Dog, for Christ's sake.

And suddenly you guys are upset at this one extremely emotionally heavy scene, despite the majority of the show's viewers being around your own age?

Cmon, guys. That just doesn't make any god-damn sense. And I'm aware that OP might only be half-serious (or not at all, for that matter), but I actually have seen other FJers complain about this, which is just stupid to me.

In the entire Last airbender series, exactly ONE person died on camera. Combustion man.
The first season of LOK, we already have Two.
I think im going to like this series.

Let us add it to the drugs, alcohol, cheating (in romance and sports), gambling, bone cracking, reckless driving, disregard for the law, murdering, and sexual content.

Tell me again why 4kids even bothered censoring?

There were two very sad moments today.
1.) Watching a lone tear go down Amon's eye before he exploded.
2.) Knowing now and forever that, despite my best wishes, Korra and Bolin will never sex.

Kids' show? Are you high? I would guess that over 90% of the viewers are over the age of 16

"Hey Amon"
-Wha(wtf)*BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM*

I liked that scene, it showed that not everything in a serie ends in sunshine, flowers and rainbows.

The main demographic of the show is males from 14-23.
It's simply aired in Nickelodeon.

What about in A:TLA?
Fire nation wipes out air nomads.
