I really hat that attitude to want to like and watch the series, because Aang left a good memory about it. But I am 19 now, studying, became more mature, live on my own..
There simply too many illogical moves the writers did, that it kills the mood in me, I'll throw out the scene when Tarlok captures Korra the first time, decides not to take her bending since there is no big audience to watch.
Then the 2nd time he has her with his blood bending and disables her in an empty hall... or Korra and all the other benders whining when they lose it, I mean what the hell, what do you think how the others who were born "pure" feel princess? The picture with that crazy looking girl saying "TELL ME I'M PRETTY" came in my mind.
Many many other things, but perhaps this could be used as an proof that this actually still is a kids show, as it doesn't satisfy the "seriousness" craved by adults. I like phantasies where everything fits, more or less.

I think I'll stop here with the end of first season, it just doesn't work for me any more.

If you're talking about the scene when Amon captures Korra ( because Tarrlok can't take away bending) He doesn't take it away because there are too many benders on her side. There wouldn't be the revolution he wanted and all the benders would destroy the equalists. Not because he wanted a show.
Secondly, Asami wasn't born with bending but she makes the most of it. Think of it this way, if you lost your penis, would you cry about it? or would you say well I can't whine knowing there are women out there who are born with out penises. I think you would cry, because losing a special gift you were born with can't be fun. (authors note: special gift=bending, penis is an analogy).

One last thing, I can't fix all of your spelling mistakes, Mr. Mature 19 year old, but here's an easy way to remember how to spell Tarrlok.

touche, altough I wasn't really making it hard for you I must say. Yes that makes a lot more sense I was certain Amon mentioned something about audience, that's from which I started the premise that it was all about the show. My mistake
But that penis-special thing is still difficult to comprehend, penis doesn't change my life drastically, bending does - it's basically the most powerful weapon till recent inventions Asami's father brought to world, and I am just sympathizing with those normalos, it seamed to me that benders are feeling pretty repulsive about not-benders, and distanced from them, the world is build in a way that suits benders the best. Everytime they lost a bender it was as if he died, too much sorrow, but again this is just my personal opinion, so I cannot claim this as a fact.

I'll stay with my feelings then, no facts cause you are obviously much better informed/more interested in this subject then I am. I feel that the action and events of the show is forced in order to make everything fit. Every character seams unreal, with actions that are of a sadly shallow nature (kids show).

I agree with your opinion that the characters seem shallow, and maybe it is a kid's show, but I think I would watch it regardless of who it's made for. I feel like it's a good show and have seen most episodes twice (yes I'm aware I'm a fanboy), so naturally I care more and have retained more facts.

From the things I've heard about it, it shouldn't be related but I had no idea there was a difference in abbreviations.

I'm with you. I see people demanding that Amon and Tarlock are alive in the next series and I just think "what fucking dumbasses".

What impact would this scene have if you knew the characters survived? It would take away everything good about this scene. It's one of the strongest moments in the entire series because we spent 2 episodes learning about their past.

The finale wasn't about Korra, it was about Tarlock and his brother (I'm not even going to try and spell his name) and how their father controlled them, right until the end. Death is a relief for them, as then they're finally free of their father's control.

I see where the other guy is coming from, but in this age a lot of children shows are censored and such.

The scene was very strong, and honestly I thought thats where the episode should have ended. Also, I think amons name is spelt like Noatok, or Noahtok.
