I'm almost positive that if needed, the airbenders can do naruto style wind slicing that would literally cut them like a sword. I think all airbenders can do it especially aang but since the show was on nickalodeon they couldn't show it. I bet you Aang can cut a guy in half with air.

Aang has used his airbending before to cut boulders into a fine shape, he did it with the drill that was attacking the Earth kingdom. Sliced right threw the rock. So you're probably right
