Yeah, I have literally no sympathy for him either. I'd have felt differently if he used legitimate tactics to win, but obviously he didn't. But the fact that people stood by and did nothing whilst illegitimate means were used to win, and then cheered them on was obviously reinforcing the legitimacy of Amon's motivations though :P.

I'm sure that it was Amon who paid the judge to let them cheat and win.....

So he doesn't go for the avatar and he made a point of him stoping the cheaters and the 'best' that pro-bending has....

They knew the judge was paid off, otherwise they wouldn't have cheated.

They also talked to the judge as though they were familiar when the Equalists began the attack.

So I doubt it.

well i didn't think Amon himself came up to Wolfbats and said "im gonna pay the ref, cheat all you want"....he probably sent someone to convince wolfbats(im sure it was REALY hard to convince them to cheat), and then payed of the judge....

and they didn't talk like they were familiar with him, they just asked "what the hell is going on ref", and that is hardly knowing someone....

+ Amon made sure that the avatar doesn't win, so he doesn't take her powers, since he said he is keeping her for last....

You have to take into account that in avatar TLA they were trying to kill each other. In addition many benders had military training back then. Pro bending is also based of boxing so of certain aspects of it are not as creative

thanks, i've been kind of disappointed with the lack of impressive bending, after the battle in episode 6 though, i think it's going to get better.

I think it's because everybody fights the way pro-benders do, and pro-bending really restricts what they're allowed to do.

not really. there's a considerable lack of bending masters shown in korra, so there's fewer displays of powerful bending. Also, probending intentionally limits what benders can do, so it's obviously less flashy.

I thought so too, but I think that the show hasn't progressed enough. Maybe in future episodes more epic bending will take place

When you're in war, you fight to kill, not to knock unconscious. I think we're gonna start seeing a lot more big battles. But I think it's also because the benders in general are becoming more spiritually distant. In Aang's times, people were very aware that there were spirits, and that the Avatar was not to be trifled with. And we know for sure that bending strength is definitely related to their spirit.

well i'd see the fire nation school more like a japanese school, refusing to aknowledge the nation's crimes (they teach their students that the nanking rape was a myth, just as in the episode where they teach the kids that the air nomads weren't ambushed). Indoctrination of children can be found just as much in japan, so it works even more

Different people have different interests. Some people prioritize FunnyJunk over The Legend of Korra. Grow the fuck up and try to understand that.

If they're upset by spoilers, then they care about the show. They can watch it at the same time while browsing, just listening to the audio and watching fight scenes and such. It's what I do a lot of times.
