I thought it was incredibly stupid. It made Lin's sacrifice and loss of bending entirely vain.

It later turned out to be inconsequential as well, which is also stupid.

Not to mention I was GLAD Lin got her bending taken away. Her skills were awful compared to her mother. And at age 14 for fuck's sake.
