Blood-bending is shown in the episode "the puppet master" where an old water tribe woman masters the art of bending the blood in peoples veins, katara learns this morbid form of bending but only uses it 2 times in the entire show, 1st time is to defeat the old woman, second is when she finds a fire nation officer, who she thinks was the one who killed her mother.
