I will try not to sound mad, but can you please stop this thumbwhore show you're running. I respect your #1 comment rank, and some of your comments were funny, but now you just post somewhat related pictures for the thumbs.
I know you're going to say that other people do that as well, but you do it exceptionally often, so please just post funny comments as you used to, and don't just scroll through your reaction folder for thumbs, that's a bit sad.

Your comments don't have a funny note attacthed, and in this case it's not even THAT related to the content. Im sorry dude, I think you need to try a little harder.

People do die everyday in shootings, but when one happens close to home like this, it opens people's eyes up to it and they actually feel something towards it.

Its easy for people to drown it out like all the other noise on the internet, radio, and tv, and make jokes about it like it was no big deal.

I used to live in Aurora, and still have friends that I talk to there, so for me, it isn't exactly affecting me, but I feel for the families who are dealing with loss, and for the people who were hurt, physically or emotionally.

That's why I'm not into all the jokes about it while this is still going on in people's lives.
Someone who might've been affected would come onto a website like this to escape their problems, just to have them mocked all over the frontpage.

But I don't understand why other people, who have no link to the attacks at all other than they heard about it on TV, are so fucking butthurt about it.

This is exactly how I feel about it. There is simply a difference between having a personal connection (Living their, knowing people, etc) and simply knowing something bad happened. I'm not agreeing with people making fun of it I just can't stand people acting like it's their own personal sop story.

On the fact that it "opens peoples eyes" the sad part about this is it means they're closed. regardless of distance we should care about what's happened. We do not usually but we should. This still does not excuse replacing care with making it your personal tragedy.

Even if they are afraid they're entirely irrational. To do this is an entirely selfish way of looking at situation where other people (people who lived and died) have actual reason to be devastated and afraid.

I will remove this if you can give me one good reason why this should effect people who aren't involved more than any other tragedy including but not limited to.

9/11, Columbine, Bank Robberies, Convenience store robberies, Katrina, UK Subway bombings, etc.
