Truthfully speaking, Hindus don't wear turbans for religious purposes. It's just extremely hot and humid in India, therefore, turbans allowed for the sweat and perspiration to be absorbed. Also kept hair out of the way during the ancient days, seeing as men tended to grow their hair out.
