people call these christians. these are not christians, these are barely excuses of people. my church goes to africa and helps the children by bringing them food and building schools for them. this group is only about hating other people. just don't think these westboro douchebags are christians.

What does the divine teachings of Jesus and the traditions of the old testament have to do with building schools for people in Africa? Seems to me you're mixing the term ''religious group'' with ''charity''... These people quote the Bible, I don't think you can honestly say to my face these are not Christians... It's even such a vague term.. Am I a Christian? I'm baptized and confirmed... But I'm an atheist.. there exist cultural Christians though I do not consider myself one. If you want these people out of your group (I'm talking to all Christians here) All you gotta do is listen to what they say, publish their claims versus yours so we can see what makes you different, make a case why your religion is better than theirs and prove that they are wrong. (Shouldn't be too hard when you got a book that's inspired by an almighty deity) (Hint: they love quoting the bible almost as much as atheists, take some Bible quotes and show us they are wrong)

When that happens, they will no longer be Christians in the mind of non-believers, but westboro bapnuts.

Does this seem unreasonable?

You don't seem to understand what a church is. My church is a family. We help each other and everyone else. Westboro is a group of hatred. True christians would know hatred is a sin. In the bible it says to love your enemies. God loves everyone including gays. The bible says it's an obomination for a man to lie with another man. It doesn't say God hates gays. The westboro's are an organized group taking advantage of this countries freedom's to earn money. Most of them are lawyer's in fact and that's why they protest in such offensive yet "legal" ways. Got anymore questions?

Yeah, I'm not buying it, the Bible says homosexuality is a Sin, doesn't say God hates fags thing. I don't think being Gay is wrong in any way or form, it's a perfectly legit choice of ones own sexuality, and you calling it an abomination (which you kinda have to do unless you want to agree the Bible is fallible) are like a racist saying: God loves black people, and I think we should treat blacks with respect -> just because they are an inferior race.

I'm sorry, I'm just not settling for a compromise on this topic, being Gay is just as good as being straight, and if you don't agree, get ready to have to defend your case, cause I will argue with people like that.

I'm going to accept your offer of ''Got anymore questions''

- What do you think about evolution.
- Who gets to go to heaven and hell?
- Is being gay just as good as being straight / Why not(inb4 the bible says so...) / If yes they are equally good, then why does the Bible says it's not and that homosexuals should be killed with stones.
- The bible clearly has a perception of a solarsystem that is not heliocentric, and an earth that is flat, then why can't it be equally wrong about heaven / afterlife etc.

I am atheist, but your kind of christian is why I still respect christianity. It is not about fighting for a god's approval, but to help and inform people of your ideals.

I respect you, and if there really is some god out there, I hope he picks you to go to heaven.
