Okay, I don't believe in homosexuality (Don't worry, I'm not a fundamentalist. I don't knock on people's doorsteps and scream "FAG!" to their face. It's just a belief that I hold and usually don't mention in public), but that person got BURNED! "There's something on your face! *punch to face* IT WAS LOGIC!"

how can you not believe in homosexuality?
User avatar #148 to #144 - CaptAwesome (05/28/2012) [-]
That doesn't make sense. You "dont believe in homosexuality?"

Thats fucking preposterous. How can you not believe in a thing that exists and is real. You are free to hold whatever beliefs and opinions you want, but not believing in something that exists and is real makes you a fucking idiot.

Assuming you are being serious, he's just saying he is against it. i hope you're trolling because if you're not that makes you the "fucking idiot".

Lol, more logic to my face. Okay, let's try this again: I do not believe that men should engage in coitis with other men.
How's that?

Ah. Your wording threw me off.

You're still an idiot, just less of one. My apologies.

Um... Thanks! ... I guess...

I'm a lesbian; can I have coitus with other women or is it just men?

Same concept. A) I'm a conservative Christian, so I follow my book mindlessly, and B) It promotes anti-reproduction. As a result of B) I'm not a big fan of condoms either, but there's always the chance that those can break.
User avatar #199 to #163 - lilin (05/28/2012) [-]
Yeah, but why do you follow you book? What is in it that makes it true? There is no evidence of "God" or anything else in it. Worshiping God and the Bible and such, is the exact same thing as picking up a Twilight novel and convincing others to believe in sparkly vampires.
Also, do you follow EVERY rule in the Bible? I don't know the Bible well, but I know that there are a lot of rules and stuff. Alot that don't make sense. So tell me, do you follow EVERY SINGLE RULE in the Bible? Have you yet to break any?

Even though this may seem like hate, I am not against your idea, I just don't see how it's logical, so believe so strongly in something that doesn't make sense. It's a waste of time. I think I would drive myself insane if I believed in a "God", just asking so many questions about how it could all happen. But, I have my reasons to disbelieve, and you have your reasons to believe. I'm open to your opinions, I just don't agree.

I respect your opinion... but I'm merely curious. The bible never mentions women with other women, it merely states a man cannot lie with another man as he would a woman. Also, I dare say I'm still a woman. I'm going to have children one day; how do I differ any more from a woman who is abstinent or one who cannot have babies for whatever medical reason?

Again, I'm merely curious as to your point of view *hands up* I want to learn. ;)

You know, I've always found it interesting that the original passage merely bans man-on-man action, and thought that was sorta funny. However, in the new testament, Paul refers to the banned action as "homosexuality" (1st Corinthians, 6:9 [lol... 69]), not just "man lying with another man". I've noticed that sometimes, the things banned in the bible were done so for some form of practical purpose. For instance, it was much easier to get a bacterial sickness from consuming pork than it is other livestock. I think the point of banning homosexuality was in fact to encourage reproduction, especially because the population of Judea was fairly small, and they had to keep the Jewish population alive. It was actually considered a shame to not be able to have babies, so anybody who, for whatever reason, didn't have a kid wasn't looked as highly upon.

This is just my theory, though. As a human, I am capable of being wrong.
