No, he just listed all possible logical answers without sugar-coating it. The only answer that he might not have provided is in the vein of "God allows these things to happen because it serves a greater good / if they hadn't happened, something even more terrible would have happened". But that's ********, because it implies that either 1) God isn't omnipotent (otherwise he'd be able to prevent ALL bad things) or 2) God is aware of bad things happening, but allows them to happen. (I don't even know which is worse for the regular Christian faith) Anyway, that's the only other option not listed in his post.

E: I find it quite hard to believe that certain horrific events have resulted in a better society. I would love to know how the slayings of 10s of millions of people in the preceding century alone have resulted in a better situation for humanity. If you can do that, tell me how all the children killed by armed gunman in various school shootings deserved to die. Then just keep going down that very, very, very long list until you hit the bottom.
F: A fair point, but sometimes it gets taken to extremes that go against the idea of an "all-loving" God.
G: Determinism.

That's pretty clever. Let me just take those options and use an instance of a terrible thing to illustrate how they work.
1) Because he's an all-knowing being, and maybe murder and rape of children is for the better
2) Because good is relative, so there can be no good things without the murder and rape of children
3) Because he gave us free will to do whatever the **** we want on earth, including murdering and raping children.
Oops... somehow doesn't sound right

Maybe but why does "He" have to kill with such indifference and on gruesome ways? Or are you volunteering for AIDS/Diphtheria/Lepra/over the top violence/insanity/starvation/... because there are to many humans? If he were almighty he would sure find a more humane way or you know, lowering the birth rate? And don't spray **** saying it's because he wants people to live, this happens to babies to and it could still be more humane than crapping your organs out or get eaten alive by some horror bacteria. If you start saying they were infidels or sinners the same is valid: why would he allow infidels or the urge to commit sins to even ******* exist if he were almighty?

TL;DR:
A.) He ain't almighty
B.) He's a complete ass
C.) He doesn't exist
D.) He is kill

No problem with believers but stating god is almighty is pure crap or let him smite me right now.

Indeed, I respect that opinion, as a mater of fact I respect almost all opinions except "omg god is all-powerful and cares about everything and everyone shut the **** up you stupid atheist". I find that just a bit hypocrite. Just like killing other people in name of your god, why would he want that? Even if your adversary is evil it doesn't make him right since he would make sure that guy didn't even exist in the first place. (or you know he is an ass/ he doesn't care but if he doesn't care we are back at the start and you shouldn't claim 24/7 that he does care).

A wise man once said "Having a religion is like having a dick, it's nice and I don't give a **** but don't show it around all the time and shove it in other peoples throats who just don't care".

At no point am I defending any religion. I am pointing out that Ricky Gervais, who has a great life with a job he loves, more money than he will ever need, and the freedom to say what he wants without fear of punishment, feels the need to be constantly butthurt over Christianity.

It's like those infographics where Christians who have nothing to fear go "help, we're being oppressed." He's the atheist version of that. I get it--Ricky Gervais is an atheist, and he thinks religion is stupid. Can he spend even one day without telling everyone he can?

He's not trying to convert anyone.

Hes just asking simple questions religious people dont seem to like because it makes them realise that if God does exist, hes a total asshole who cares very little for humans.

Apparently that makes Ricky an asshole for bringing it up. They would rather make excuses for their God. He does what he does, if you dont agree with him dont follow him. But dont follow someone then make excuses for him.

Its like a lawyer defending a criminal and being like "Oh you are pathetic, I knew you would bring up those rapes and those murders. You're such an asshole for bringing them up"
