What annoys me most is when people say "God" as if there is only one and has only ever been one and that their god is the only true god. Thats whats ignorant. What ever happened to all the badass gods like Zeus and Thor. I am open to the idea that some sort of intelligent being designed the laws of physics and created the big bang but come on; when you say "God" it makes me feel like you are pushing it on others that he definitely exists and that everyone else's god is a fake.

Also, to add, the idea of heaven is extremely flawed. In a perfect place, nobody would be perfect otherwise it would be boring. I would much rather stay on earth and endure pain so pleasure is that much better. There would also be people you didn't like in heaven. Also you may say that everyones heaven is suited to them but if this is true then you know that everything in your heaven is sort of a big lie and the people you engage with are figments of your imagination.

Religion used to run by the side of science, striving for a common goal but now it seems that a lot of modern religious people are too ignorant and lazy to even try and answer the secrets of the universe. Religion used to adapt to coincide with science. Not believing in things like evolution, natural selection, the big bang, interstellar fusion, gravity, the earth being flat and the fact that the earth is around 4.5 billion years old is just ridiculous.

There is room for religion in modern society but if you do not respect science and the fact that we now have greater knowledge of the universe then its a massive shame because you are the people that everyone ridicules and you are the burdens of the modern world.

So you're is that I have to believe in theory's some of which are not provable and you say I'm ridiculous. I focus on facts not theory's and once again gravity is not a theory for it has proven it's existence even if we don't know how it works.

I did not say whether any of those things are facts, theories, bananas or whatever. They are called theories because there is always an extremely small chance that they are wrong. There is evidence and proof for all the things mentioned. They really aren't concepts that are difficult to grasp.

You know what a theory is? A 50-50 chance that it's correct. Here's how it works. There's an idea, then it become an hypothesis after some testing then theory then elevated theory then scientific law. Wait you believe that the world is flat?(look back at you're comment)

Yes, I believe that the world is flat. It was a joke.

Sorry you put a joke in the middle of a serious statement and back in the original comment you said religion used to run by the side of science but who created the study of science and medical science? Christians did man and the public school system covers up everything from the founding fathers belief in God to evidence against evolution because they don't want to offend people of other faiths by removing the truth so they can avoid an issue and their not allowed to teach anything that might say otherwise.
