Its the fact that a lot of people think atheism is evil, and if you don't believe in a god you have no morals. This often leads to atheists being discriminated against, whats the difference between this and racism or being homophobic.

Just look at the US, the next big breakthrough after the 1st black president will be one who doesn't believe in god.

Yeah, thumb down the comments while failing utterly to provide any kind of rational response or rebuttal. That would seem about right for any ignorant dumbass reading something he or she disagrees with. I mean God forbid that there be an actual tolerant and/or intelligent discussion over it--even one which ends with a mutual agreement of disagreement. Too much to ask for from idiots who just spam the red thumbs when they see something they disagree with. That's another reason why society is becoming so lazy. Lazy people don't feel any compelling urge to actually put effort or thought into a response when the "red thumb" is so conveniently there and just a mouse-click away.

You know, the red thumb is so conveniently just a click away. Thanks, anon!

The story of Noah's Ark isn't supposed to revolve around the death of all those who weren't on the Ark, the story is designed to emphasize Noah's belief, trust and faith in God during that time which led to the salvation of his family and the continuation of the human race. I realize this picture is designed to be "funny," but it's really just pretty ignorant.
#208 - anonymous (03/10/2013) [-]
First of all, even according to the Biblical tale, the people on Earth or at least those around Noah were given a chance to survive, but because of their disbelief and skepticism, they declined, which is what led to their fate. Secondly, whether or not you believe the Bible to be true, it's basically a story of a father who is unhappy with his children and punishes them, later noting that it would never be done again due to the suffering caused. Thirdly, if this picture is designed with the intent of bashing on Christians and their views, it fails ******** , Christians do reflect on the words of the Old Testament in terms of their "history" and the lessons that can be learned,, but their primary beliefs and values revolve almost entirely on the New Testament, quite obviously due to Christ's life being documented in the New Testament.

User avatar #203 to #199 - oceanfrank (03/10/2013) [-]
Im just saying, Noah didnt cause the flood he just did what he was told. And is it any different than when your favorite bedtime hero defeats/slays/whatever to the bad guys?
#204 to #203 - sledmondson (03/10/2013) [-]
noah is not the one in question, god caused the flood, purposely obliterating all the people he deemed unfit to live, noone is questioning noah

God spells out to Noah the dimensions of the ark, 300 cubits by 50 by 30, approximately 137 by 23 by 14 meters (440 feet long, 73 feet wide, and 43 feet high)-Wikipedia's_Ark
