I may be religious, but I'm also a pretty intelligent guy (if I do say so myself), and it annoys me when I'm automatically assumed to be a Bible bashing moron as soon as people find out that I'm religious.

Neither are most religious people retarded bible bashers. This being said, you can't deny that many religious people dislike atheists more than vice versa.
