How is your day?

I dont get Creationists. ..
They cant grasp the concept of an
ape like creature evolving into a man,
yet they have no problem with a rib
turning into a woman.

I just thought of something. God created the earth and pretty much the entire universe som nothing. Then he created a man from dirt. Then he needed a rib to make a woman. Does that make the woman the most complex thing in the world?

my view on posts that question why Christians believe in "irrational" occurrences such as this and miracles and other stories from the bible is that if God exists, it is not that hard to believe that he can do any crazy stuff he wanted. Wouldn't it make sense if an entity able to create the universe and establish basic laws of science from nothing would be able to alter the laws he set in place if he so desired? So basically the only real question to a Christian is why they believe God exists, not why they believe that Jesus walked on water

Silly op, the book of genesis filled largely with stories and speculations of early jews. At the time the peoples did not know as much about the creation of the world and evolution so they tried to fill in the blanks. Do modern day Christians believe that women were LITERALLY created form Adam's rib? No of course not, get your head out of your ass.

maybe not rib but there was definitely "bone" involved in their creation

at least its on a channel dedicated to atheism, and not science. science And atheism are 2 different things. an atheist can believe the earth is flat. even hollow and that theres other worlds within. dont be so close minded because atheists are also crackpots too. hell if you REALLY wanna go there atheists are just as clueless as theists seeing as how no one knows what happens after death, other than a rotting corpse. have a good day everbahdy

I read a book once (Shocking right?) but I can't remember what it was called. I'll try to find out and let you know if you care.

The point is, there was an argument over religon (I read this book a really ******* long time ago so my mind is super hazy)

This is how the argument went.
1: Why do you bash evolutionists so much?
2: Because it is not in the holy bible!
1: But it could be! It says that on the first day god created man! (Or something) right?
2: Yes...
1: How long was this day? Did it say it was a 24 hour day exactly?
2: No....
1: So it could be a 23, or a 25 hour day, correct?
2: I suppose.
1: So then it could be a 10 billion year long day as well! In this time where "God created man" couldn't he have created basic life, that evolved? This "God" could simply be the first spark of life, the first birth of a living cell, that divided to form more and more. This is the basis of evolution. Sure, no one knows where that first spark of life came from, and that very well could be the same God that you worship!

This is a severe misquote of course, but I respect that logic very much and while I'm no Christian, I still think that it could be a common ground between the two of us.
