So all the Christians you know were/are people to whom this can actually apply?
Just because a person claims to be a Christian, doesn't make them a good person, or vice versa depending on how you view them. I know, I know, they were priests so they should be Christians and act as they ought to, but if everyone acted like they ought to, I think we can all agree that the world would be a much much better place, no? You can't accurately judge a large group of people based on how you see a few of them in the news (or other kinds of media); following that kinda of logic, I could say all Americans are murderers.
To be honest, I know plenty of Christians that support gay marriage and not bestiality.
Besides, I think the rest of the Christians don't want to be grouped with them (and the Westboro idiots) anymore than than you do. Basically what I'm saying is something along the line of: don't let a few bad apples spoil the entirety of the group and not all Christians are like the crazy ones that you hear/read about on the TV/internet or wherever it is that you get your news.
