The next time anyone says, "Where do you get your morals from!?!?!"
When I ask a fundamentalist,
Would you kill me if god told you
to?' they always dodge the
question. It puts their beliefs foot!
to face with the morality most
humans have within their core.
they' re forced into the
unaffordable position to either
say they would kill me if they
believed god told them to, which , ,
is sociopathy: behavior, or to
admit that they have a sense of
morality independent from
religion.

"I wouldn't follow a God who told me to kill another human being. Luckily this doesn't conflict with my current beliefs, as God is a benevolent force with a capacity for forgiveness."
I'm not even religious, but that's a fucking easy question to answer.

Hypotheticals are fun. Would you set your dick on fire if it caused world peace?
Thats a loaded question and inherently illogical. This question assumes that God would demand such a thing regardless of the past actions, sins, of the murder victim in question. It also contradicts itself by first making it assumed that God did exist in the context of the question but then berates the mental soundness of the person that listens to His voice, as if he were insane and hearing something no one else can.
Im not trying to defend christianity (although I am one) because i know that causes shitstorms on this site. but im just saying, its a bad question.

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
~Albert Einstein
Someone is trying to convince religious people that their is no God(or Gods, or god, or gods, depending on which religion), to no avail, and yet keeps on trying. You see my fellow non-religious friend, anyone can use a quote, a definition, etc, to make another side/another belief look fucking retarded.
And anyone can use loopholes in what ever belief that make it look retarded, you're no different then a fundie asking you "What started the big bang, something had to, it can't just happen, Stephen Hawking even said so himself at one point(which, you may not know that he recently changed this idea, so you would possibly have no comeback in the least)". Or of course, you not be a edgy little douche about other peoples personal ideas, because everyone should keep these ideas to themselves because of the pointless shitstorms they turn up.

God wouldn't ask you to do such a thing
it isn't in his nature
if he did ask that He wouldn't be Him
>but what about all the "go kill him" in the bible
that deals with the old testament in the old covenant
in the new testament Jesus sacrifices himself to redeem humanity
in doing so he pushes for a servants heart and a passive hand even unto death
I know you want to feel like you are bettering the world by taking Christians down notch but a post here won't hurt Christians any and won't help Atheists really. All you are affecting is FunnyJunk by starting a rage fest with a question that any educated Christian or Atheist wouldn't even consider arguing over because it's so irrelevant. Enjoy this picture though as a sign of peace between us all

If it was God, and I knew this without doubt, and He told me to kill someone then yeah I am gonna kill a motherfucker.
In what context would someone by told to kill that guy? Perhaps he had done, or was going to do something horrific.
This is the problem with hypotheticals. You can always fabricate one to suit whatever point you wish to make.

there's this growing popularity of mocking and belittling someone who believes in a deity, where as an atheist is praised by a technological world for being independent from religion. And an argument of a theist is shunned to be invalid by a man who proudly labels himself as an atheistic individual with great potential, yet spent precious hours thinking of a way to abolish the belief of an individual.
It's apparent justified to ridicul a theist for being a hypocrite, pius tard, despite a certain number of said theist have contributed to the advancement of a growing atheistic world. But it is not justified for a theist to argue with an atheistic man solely on what others have commited.
Would a Christian man mock an atheist if he sees one doing a crime? TRUTHFULLY, HE WOULD.
Would an atheist do the same? Yes. Yes they would.
Oh but one believes in a deity, thus regarded as fool. This Christian man served in the medical field, honestly living as a doctor, and as a just father. One who isn't pius to his children. Yet he is a fool to believe in a deity? To pray, give alms in the name of said deity, to hope for an afterlife. He is a fool to apparently believe his morals are based on something, or that there is good rest waiting for him at the end of his mortal life.
But enough about the Christian man.
An Atheistic man. He is honest in his living and an active, contributing member of society. He works as a professor of a well known university, a father of two, and loving loyal husband. Yet he is a fool to believe we are from minor organisms? That he believes we have evolved, or that the universe began very differently from what a theist believes. He is also a fool to do works, once regarded as heinous, in the name of discovery. and he is a fool to not believe in a deity.
