Yeah, much cheaper for everything, gas, hotels, groceries, especially dairy products.

It used to be an open border for the most part.
I remember about 3 or 4 years ago was when I got my nexus card, the equivalent of a passport. Before that, we just used Health Cards and Birth Certificates or Drivers Licences to get across.
