I don't know why people whine that Canadian bills look like Monopoly money.
Have you fucking touched those bills? You can't even rip them, they're plastic with a little clear window in it.

I went to the U.S. to buy groceries and had one of the new plastic-y bills, and the cashier and the people behind me in the line were passing along my money to feel how interesting it was. =\

Yeah, much cheaper for everything, gas, hotels, groceries, especially dairy products.
For the jugs of milk we buy at walmart for 2.99, we pay about 6.00$ for here.
It's DISGUSTING how cheap shit if.

If I went to McDonalds in the US and got a 10 piece McNugget meal super-sized, I'd pay the same price in Canada for a 6 piece McNugget meal regular size.

It used to be an open border for the most part.
I remember about 3 or 4 years ago was when I got my nexus card, the equivalent of a passport. Before that, we just used Health Cards and Birth Certificates or Drivers Licences to get across.
