I'm an atheist and I've never lectured anybody religious and nor will I. I stay out of other people's beliefs as they are nothing to do with me and I only ever try to defend science when people try to lecture me. I would never bring religion into an argument as I'm not religious

So how does it feel to believe in something that doesn't exist?

my friend, i lived most of my life in saudi arabia. im from a village near buraida, the most extreme/strict muslims in the world live there. i loved studying religions since i was 15, and i respect all faiths and views, and i always look for the similarities between them. i know a lot about my religion, i went to lectures, took extra classes, went to afternoon circles to memorize the quran, the verse you quoted was talking about war cases.

you atheists like to make religions look bad, so you can feel smarter and more superior. if God didnt throw you in hell for your lack of belief, he will because of your arrogance.

i think organized religions did more good than bad, it brought people together, made strong communities, "the good hides, the evil appears" when few bad examples happen you cant blame the whole "religion" and treat all religions the same.
and you're right, actually, muslims dont know exactly what happens after death, just like christians, we believe in an after life, not judgment day or heaven and hell, there is another kind of life in between, both religions don't bring anything about it other than it exists. i believe that you're wrong for not believing in a god or an after life, but that doesnt give me the right to tell you that you're wrong, or hate you for it. i understand why some people say it to your face, might be offending(depends on the place you say it) but i think its wrong, it makes arrogance grows in the person's heart, just like how you call ALL religious people ignorant, idiots..etc. it wont make people like you.
if i came one day and killed a justine beiber fan in the street, and i did it for the name of metal. would you blame metal? bad example, but you get the point.

i thumbed u up. i like that response but im not going to say i think there is no afterlife because we cant see it or detect it. scientistst cant see or detect dark matter either but they hypothesise that is there

absence of evidence=/=evidence of absence.

on the contrary there is no DIRECT evidence for things llike that but there is definetly indirect such as the fact that according to calculations there should be more mass in the universe than there is which leads to the hypothesis of dark matter or strange unexplainable things that happen which leads to hypothesis about gods and afterlives
