Muslims hate non-muslims because they aren't muslim.

The only difference between them and Christianity is, while one simply talks about how you need god and how they're right, the other just gets fed up with trying to convince people through non-violent means.

Either way, anyone with any sort of belief system, including athiesm, is going to think themselves right and everyone else wrong.

And that is why religious views and lack thereof are irritating.

Muslims who blow up buildings do it because the people who they kill aren't Muslim. It's in the Koran.

So many people of so many faiths, doesn't matter what they believe, try to shove their belief down other's throats. The Muslim extremists took down the world trade centers because they were fed up with America not following the Koran, fed up with everyone not believing in Allah and thinking they should all die for that.

Mind you I'm not referring to EVERY muslim. I'm referring to muslims who blow up buildings. It's not Athiest's faults, it's everyone who has any sort of belief which requires spreading the word to even those who don't want to hear it.

I can't honestly believe how religious/athiest FJ's gotten... those who aren't yelling for everyone else to shut up are shoving THEIR own system of belief down other's throats.

"The Muslim extremists took down the world trade centers because they were fed up with America not following the Koran, fed up with everyone not believing in Allah and thinking they should all die for that. " I'm sorry but nowhere in the quran does it say kill innocent people because they do not believe.

It DOES however say, ignore the ignorant. The ignorant are also the ones who have gone astray with their hearts...

The reason 9/11 occured because america invaded iraq for no ******* reason. They retaliated. Kinda like when germany attacked the UK and they attacked back and started bombing berlin.

Quran (8:12) - "I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them" No reasonable person would interpret this to mean a spiritual struggle.

Quran (9:5) - "So when the sacred months have passed away, then slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captive and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush, then if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, leave their way free to them." According to this verse, the best way of staying safe from Muslim violence is to convert to Islam (prayer (salat) and the poor tax (zakat) are among the religion's Five Pillars). This popular claim that the Quran only inspires violence within the context of self-defense is seriously challenged by this passage as well, since the Muslims to whom it was written were obviously not under attack. Had they been, then there would have been no waiting period (earlier verses make it a duty for Muslims to fight in self-defense, even during the sacred months). The historical context is Mecca after the idolaters were subjugated by Muhammad and posed no threat. Once the Muslims had the power, they violently evicted those unbelievers who would not convert.

Quran (9:14) - "Fight them, Allah will punish them by your hands and bring them to disgrace..."

Also, research your **** , America actually didn't invade Iraq for no reason.

What are you saying man? When the prophet Muhammad (SAW) recieved his revelation, the people of quraish (mekka) accepted him. But with time people started to worship idols. Since they where afraid that people would become muslim and leave their religion, they attacked Muhammad. They did this out of jelousy (why is he the prohpet and not me. I have more power and wealth etc) They did it out of fear. (fear the people would leave their religion for his. So they beated him, they would poor the intestinces of slayn animals over him when he would pray. They would prosecute every follower he had. They would heat up rocks until they where glowing red and throw them into the sand, and throw the muslims ontop of them as punishment... Because they where simply muslim and where praying in public.

What you recited is true. But out of context. You cannot kill or fight them. Unless they are the enemy's of allah, then your recite comes into play. How are you an enemy of allah? If you keep the muslims from being able to live their religion, like it happenned in Muhammad (sav) his time. As long as people leave them alone, but do not believe that is their problem. They are seen as ignorant and we should ignore the ingorant. If you do not believe that is your choice, we cannot kill you over that.

I've never heard an atheist say it's wrong to discuss religious views... What you're probably thinking about is indoctrination which is a whole other aspect of religion we dislike, but ofcourse, without that the world religions would die off in a decade...

Tell a person who for 18 years have believe in a naturalistic universe that the ectoplasmic ghost of Jesus the magic Jew is watching over you, curing cancer and saving puppies... Yeah, not so much... But because religious parents have told their kids since born that Jesus is real and needs accepting, it suddenly makes it a bit easier.

When someone hands me a folder on the street about how Jesus saved me from the crimes of sinning I didn't commit myself so to say, I don't even tell them to stop, if this is what they believe, by all means go ahead and share your views, me laughing at those people afterwards is my choice as was it theirs to state their ridiculous ideology.

It's a crime that people simply cannot see that religion and science do not contradict each other. Basically, science states what happened and how that happened. Religion is more concerned with the why, and what to do with it. Why do people insist that they can't both be true?
