Know the difference between ponyfags and bronies.
Are you talking about the show all day? Telling and annoying people about how ''Fabulous'' it is? then you're a ponyfag.
are you keeping it decent; to yourselfs. then you're a brony.

Certainly.
Ponyfag: Someone who constantly thumbs up unfunny content just because it has ponies, shoves the show into other people's faces, and posts ponies in response to non-pony stuff.
Brony: Thumbs up content only if it is funny. Enjoys My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic.
There is a big difference.

I'm going to tell you why that's bullshit. Hell, I'm going to have to save a fucking txt file just for copy-pasting to make this arguement if this keeps up.
The show was originally intended for little girls, yes. However, it was soon discovered that the messages in the show also appealed to adolescent and young adult males. As an added bonus, the medium through which the messages were passed also appealed to them because it's good art. Your arguement is like saying you shouldn't use automobiles to tow trailers because they were only designed to transport people, or that you can't fly hot-air balloons unless you're either under siege, or delievering supplies to someone under siege.
A better, real-life example is the P-47 Thunderbolt, the world's heaviest single-engine prop-driven fighter. It was designed for bomber escort, but it was soon found to be even better at ground-attack than dogfighting. By your logic, it's wrong, some would even say satanically evil, for someone to use the P-47 to attack something like, say, a train or airbase, because that's not it's original intent.
If you don't understand this, then kindly find the nearest cactus, sodomize yourself with it, and fucking spin.

Nah, I watched the first two episodes and have to disagree. I didn't like it, but I could see why others may like it.
What I can't see, however, is why this show has such a crazy, ridiculously large fanbase.
And no, it's not all about thumbs. I posted the thumb thing to give a better representation. It's more about the second half, with shoving ponies in others' throats.
