I hate it when shows that are seemingly less popular are almost impossible to find 1080p torrents of. The second season of Higurashi in 1080p is a myth.
I refuse to stream since it's inferior in literally every single way, and I'm too stingy to pay for a crunchyroll account.

I stream because I don't want a show on my HDD I'm only going to watch once anyway, so **** you and your "hurr durr, I'm a better anime fan because I torrent"

You need to login to view this link
Popularity (meaning the people who are either watching it, have watched it, plan on watching it or stopped watching it): #33
Members (the people who did all of the above): 173,471 (and that's on MAL alone)

I wouldn't exactly call Higurashi a "less popular" anime.

And if you're talking about Kai specifically its popularity ranking is 88.

I know Higurashi is popular, I was just using it as an example of something I couldn't find a good quality of, which is seriously disappointing since it's actually really good.

Higurashi never had a BD release meaning that all 720p and above releases of both season one and two are upscales of the DVD release. There is no quality advantage to getting these releases.

The best you would get is this: You need to login to view this link

You need to pay to view things in CrunchyRoll? Also, I don't really have an opinion on the subject, but what is wrong with streaming?

You don't need to pay to watch it initially, but if you want to download/watch anything in anything above 360p you have to pay I think like $7 a month for anime and some mango, and $13 for everything. that and crunchy doesn't even have half the shows I look for so meh.
as far as streaming arguments go, pic related.

Quality isn't half as bad as the pic makes it out to be though. I often stream the first 3 episodes or so, to decide if this is worth downloading. It's mainly older stuff that's hard to find a good stream for.

Hmm, I didn't realize the quality was so low, I always go to Crunchyroll because I thought it was so high. The only trouble I've had with Crunchyroll is not being able to watch a few things because it isn't allowed in my country or something like that, and I've also had the same problem regarding their anime library.

I don't know who made that picture, but they seemed mad... I don't really know a lot about the whole subject, but each to their own right? Why does it matter if one decides to stream or torrent? We're all doing it because we enjoy anime, isn't that enough?
