And now Naruto is holding Hinata's hand as he's using Sage-mode and the Nine-tales cloke as they are both charging at Obito and Madara in the final fight.

Some people aren't weaboos and like watching the show in the language they speak, instead of reading subtitles all the time.

Yes, because watching an anime in its original language, not being a lazy **** to actually read subtitles makes me a weabo.

Get lost, lazy ass. Dubs in 90% of cases ruin the dialogues.

It's about preference. I'm personally am indifferent to whether something is subbed/dubbed. I watch for the story, that's it. You cannot say someone is lazy just because they choose to watch something dubbed.

What if somebody is dyslexic? There are practical reasons not to watch it subbed. There are also plenty of good dubbed anime out there-- Gurren Lagann, for example, or Cowboy Bebop, or Samurai Champloo. If someone LITERALLY cannot read fast enough to keep up with the dialogue, should they be punished and not watch it?

Thank you for backing me up. I'm not dyslexic but I do read a little slowly. I just read it at the pace I would speak it, therefore it's difficult to watch the anime and read the dialogue. I did try to watch subbed but I wasn't able to watch the scenes and read quick enough so I kept having to pause the video to read which really ruins the immersion. Also, watching dubbed you become attached to voice actors and the original voices just sound strange. I'm sure the the original scripts are better in subbed but I still feel the message comes across well in dubbed too. I simply feel much more comfortable with the dubs. Thank you for understanding :)

"If someone LITERALLY cannot read fast enough to keep up with the dialogue"

Pro-tip: It's called a "Pause" button, shhhh!

And of course I'm not referring to people with visual or other impairing, but the laziness also extends to non-American films (like European ones). They'd rather take a huge dump on the original actor's work than watch it subbed.

Besides the fact that I really pity those who don't know Orochimaru's (for instance) actual voice (mind blown when I found out it's a woman), here's a case-in-point for you:
Almost any children movies (Cars, Rango, Finding Nemo, whatever) in our cinemas get DUBBED. What's even the point of going to see an animated movie starring, I dunno, Morgan Freeman, if I CAN'T EVEN HEAR THE ORIGINAL VOICE! Not to mention it's stupid since Cartoon Network and my PC basically taught me English by the age of 6-7 (I'm not, as you guessed, an English native).

I once also had the "honor" of watching Star Wars: A New Hope on Pro Sieben (Pro7, a German channel). Oh God... the horror of hearing Vader in German!

NOW do you see why, besides special, medical cases, dubbing anything is just plain retarded and lazy?

Oh, come on! You're arguing two separate issues! If you're watching a movie in your own language, sure, your brain is programmed comprehend speech and action at the same time. But stopping the show to read could prove problematic if you're watching it with other people.

Are you telling me that you don't know of ANY anime that has an English dub that is superior to the Japanese version?

Maybe Pokemon, but that I also had the "honor" of hearing it in my native language many more times than in English or Japanese.

There is also the fact that some nuances from certain lines may not be obvious when translating them, so hearing the original intonation is so much better.

Okay... I've got a list of anime, right here, right NOW, that is better in the English dub than the original. I'd like you to review these titles, and if you have seen them in both English and Japanese and you disagree, please tell me why.

I'm not saying that there aren't good dubs, but why would you chose to watch dubbed rather than subbed other than being lazy?!

It's like watching a dubbed version of The Seven Samurai or, I dunno, Lord of the Rings! Who the **** wants to hear a dubbed Christopher Lee?!

I'm gonna put it to you like this... I'm American, I had a college level reading level when I was eleven, and I had polished off damn near every Stephen King novel by the time I was twelve. I am one of the fastest readers and typists that I know. That being said, it's not about laziness-- some people just have a style they're comfortable with, and that's it. You're allowed to have your opinion, and you're allowed to think that other's are wrong. Frankly, I just don't care for your opinion. I don't think you're wrong, per se, I just believe that your opinion doesn't mesh with mine. You may like chocolate pudding, but that doesn't mean my chocolate allergies will go away just because you tell me how good it is.

OK, I can respect that... but I'm still going to bring arguments like "why the hell would anyone want to watch Mark Hamill in Batman The Animated Series dubbed?!" (for non US/UK watchers). Because I'm trying to make you people see things from a different perspective. And I'm gonna use that for sustaining my opinion that in 90% of cases, the original voice work is to be preferred.

It ***** up the speed of the action and takes you out of the narrative to keep pausing and rewinding to read everything.
I read the subs and everything, and I don't like it, but sometime the English VA's are just... ugh
However, I also hate the japanese female VA's. Too high pitched and annoying to me.

That's true in some cases, but do you have any idea how difficult it is for the lay person to try to synch voices in a foreign language with writing in their own? It's very difficult. The only reason we're able to do it as well as we do is because we've got years of experience.

You can't expect someone who casually likes fighting games to be as good as you are if you play against them in, say, Dead Or Alive, if you play three or four hours a day, and you're expert in a particular character. It's a crude analogy, but it fits.

Sorry to bother you but I believe if you look at my comment above, I explain most of my reasons. I get where you're coming from but I'm not being lazy it's just easier for me watching dubs. I envy that you can keep up with the subbed but the dubbed have a good reason for being because I wouldn't be able to enjoy the animes I do without them.
Thank you.
