It is your duty to know yourself. And when someone confronts you regarding your poor behaviors or personality traits, do not act shocked or insulted. You are already aware of them, and you have decided to maintain them.
If you are willing to change yourself for the sake of others, then more power to you. If you are not, simply be prepared to face the consequences that come with it.
