Its actually odd that I prefer english dubs when all my life I've been watching english tv shows, with finnish subs.
I have no problem reading subs and watching a show at the same time but i feel like its the language that throws me off with anime. when I watch an english tv show with finnish subs, I can still understand the language just fine. so the subtitles just kinda fill some parts that I missed, or didn't understand for some reason.
but with japanese the language is so much faster and different that when I watch a japanese show, I can't "connect" the subtitles with the voice over, like I can with english.

Actually agree but on certain animes. I mean there are one where i originally heard it in English dub and it just sounds off if i hear it in Japanese. but there are some where the dub is SOOOO bad like in Utawarerumono where i had to watch it with subs. I just guess its more of a preference
