Sometimes I feel like this. But without the penguins. Or anyone for that matter.

I currently feel like this, minus the penguins.

Why must there be penguins?

I can relate but then I remember I can adapt, so I just drop the emotion and continue on.

I call it moral flexibility, the ability to change my way of thinking and feeling on a whim. Of course you have to know how something feels before jumping to it or eliminating it all together. This post brought up some bad memories, but I'm not really bothered by it anymore. Maybe that's why I'm an asshole now...

I know exactly what you're talking about, except mine is only emotional state changes or eliminations. It's why people see me as disconnected or mysterious at places I regularly visit or attend. I try to keep as neutral of a position socially and emotionally as possible. But I'm an extremely noticeable person, so people poke and prod. Trying to get into my world. I don't understand it. They wouldn't last five minutes, so why are they so interested in getting to know me? It's not as though they have any romantic interest, so making such a dedicated effort seems illogical.

Sorry to text wall, but it seems like you're a good person to let out some of my minor frustrations to.
