This happened to me during lunch. I was sitting outside in our school's courtyard by myself at a table reading a book. Some group of people come over and sit at the table next to mine. "Okay..." So, I decide to put in my headphones. Turns out their table wasn't big enough and decided to expand onto mine. I have my reasons for wanting privacy.

in all fairness it IS a table for everybody... Even if they were being "disrespectful" it's not like you have full rights to the space around you within a 10 ft radius...

because you have a crippling inadequacy to social interaction?

Yes, and I was reading with my headphones in. I don't hate company, but if I'm making it extremely obvious that I'd rather be to myself then someone should be able to take the hint.

Maybe its because you are one person and you don't deserve to take up an entire table?
