most people ive talked to enjoyed Ultimate much more overall, in the original it dealt with her not really wanting to accept the fact shes a vampire, but when they redid the series they actually has time to complete that story aspect
The original anime, much like Fullmetal Alchemist, over took the manga so the animators had to make up their own story line. Whereas the OVA follows the manga.
<--- Yes. Yes it was.
few things to note:
>no, they cant walk in the sun
>for ***** sake, kill a human every once in a while
>make them strong but not invincible
>study old time vampires, it could help to pay homage to the past
>dont title it "Thirty Shades of Red" make it badass, yet emotionally jarring
>make sure the main characters have a personality, not a cardboard cut out lead
1. i planed for there to be soemthing called Time essance. it would allow a vampier to walk in the day light for 2-5 hours bassed on potency and amount consumped, but it is stupidly rare and leave's the vampiers both weak and very very hungry.
2. i have no qwamels having Alice kill a few thugs. in fact, i like that idea
3. simple enough
4. will do.
5. hehehe thirty shades of red.
6. obviously
in regards to the third. they can quickly regenerate damaged limbs and organs, but this takes a toll on their body and makes their hunger for blood grow quicker, so the more they use it the quicker they will need to drink me blood
Hm... try reading some of Terry Pratchett's work. Comic aspects of his vampires aside, he portrays them quite strongly and eerily. If you can base your vampires and their cravings off of them, I take my hats off to you.
Would both people in the relationship be vampires or not? Because that changes everything. Case in point: once read a story where demonic siblings would wipe out mountain ranges or vast forests during their "play fighting".
read the anita blake series. not really well written but some of the best vamp portrayal. seriously, copious sex and violence. dude kills vamps with flamethrower at some point. **** twilight.
hummm, maybe the vampiers heart restarts when they are exposed to large quantites of out side stimuli. heart works 10x more than a humans along with all their internal organs. how dose that sound?
The OVA is the manga page-for-page. I'm pretty sure. I read the manga a couple years ago and watched the OVA about a year ago, so I'm pretty sure they're exactly the same. Don't watch the TV series, anybody who doesn't know about Hellsing. It's alright, but it doesn't hold a candle to the OVA.
One must admit however, Alucard often seemed less "vampire" and more "Eldritch Abomination in humanoid form". In fact, his form of a shadowy mass filled with eyes fits the description of Samael the angel of death if memory serves.
He is however the most awesome vampire ever. With Seras being 2nd most awesome and definitely the cutest/most adorable.
and see this point, vampire for centuries have been considered the "angels of death" or "dark angels" therefore it can be justified of his strength and powers to that degree.
furthermore, eldritch creatures have never been able to actually have a human form
only an adaptation to some degree because of the flux between them and our worlds
so i see your points, and good ones too, but i never rlly thought it could be much else.
From what I have gathered Dracula is not a vampire so much as he is the cause of vamperism. He has abilities that no other vampire has as well as lacking some of the weaknesses. He seems to be another creature entirely and vampires are just an impure form of him.
