"Good enough."

Now that's one you don't hear too often.

Mainly because Lucina was the most prominent woman, and Tharja has a thing for the MC automatically.
#33 to #28 - anon (01/03/2016) [-]
Not even just those two. Lucina is the face of the game alongside Chrom and Japan has a raging hard on for her, and Tharja just falls into your lap, so those are pretty common. But Cordelia, Lissa, Cherche, Olivia, Miriel and probably Nowi are all fairly popular, along with some of the child units.

At least from the Japan polls, which aren't necessarily a true test of anything, not many people seemed to like the bunny people.
User avatar #35 to #33 - dbqpdb (01/03/2016) [-]
On the one hand, her grudge and the dialogue surrounding it gets repetitive, but on the other hand so does Cordelia's obsession with Chrom and Tharja's obsession with the MC. It's surprising to me because I'd think at least there'd be more fans from the furry community, but regarding her there's almost nothing except the occasional fan that chose her.

One thing I'll say on the topic of her character is how I wish Yarne were being hunted by the people who killed her family when you get to his paralogue, so there'd be some closure to that event.

Funny way of spelling Sully

She ends up blaming people for sexism way too often in her supports, nevermind that she's far from the only female in the army and there's nothing to justify her views.

She is hot, though
User avatar #38 to #37 - rollertoaster (01/03/2016) [-]
Well, she did grow up under the scrutiny of everybody always comparing her to her male siblings based on her more "boyish" hobbies. One can see why she'd be quick to assume that she'd be compared to the men everywhere else.
User avatar #39 to #38 - dbqpdb (01/03/2016) [-]
I missed where it said anything like that. The only thing I heard is that her brothers rubbed off on her in personality and goals before they died, and that she had the option to back down and still live in luxury due to her family, but chose not to.

Nowhere in her supports did I ever see anyone judge her by gender.

The Hell are you talking about? Unless you're referring to the DLC - which was the good kind of adding-content DLC - everything in that game'd already been done. The world map thing in Sacred Stones AND Gaiden, the marriage/child thing in Seisen no Keifu, skills in Path of Blue Flame...

Funny how you say that, considering Awakening saved the entire franchise from being canned.
#29 to #21 - anon (01/03/2016) [-]
Confirmed for never playing Fire Emblem games and just parrotting whatever garbage you see on /v/.

The only thing Awakening did that other Fire Emblem games didn't do was it made shipping a larger game mechanic, and a necessity to beat Lunatic and Lunatic+. Waifus, shipping, husbandos, and all have been part of Fire Emblem since Shadow Dragon.

There are plenty of problems with Awakening. Perhaps the largest is, in order to pack as much content as they did into the base game, many maps ended up being pretty plain and same-y. But Awakening has breathed new life into the Fire Emblem games, and hopefully it gets better from here.

On its own its ok, compared to the others its lackluster. I'm hoping Fates is gonna be better.
User avatar #43 to #42 - StaticX (01/03/2016) [-]
That's what I mean by it's objectively weakest, from what I hear Fates: Conquest fixes my biggest problem with it witch was the **** map design, sadly the pair up mechanic is still broken as **** though.
User avatar #45 to #43 - cheeseboyofdoom (01/03/2016) [-]
I really think the only reason they are putting in the pair up mechanic is to prevent idiots from getting stuck. I'm also really skeptical about the unbreakable weapons thing. Imagine all your unite with unbreakable brave and killing weapons.

Brady is by far my least favorite future child.
Pic somewhat related
#30 to #1 - anon (01/03/2016) [-]
I don't know why Brady gets so much hate. He's got some great support conversations, and he's likable.
User avatar #2 to #1 - dbqpdb (01/02/2016) [-]
Really, even over Kjelle and Severa?
User avatar #7 to #2 - altari ONLINE (01/02/2016) [-]
Severa turns out okay in her supports, and I've never used Kjelle more than a few times.

Brady was always useless too me by the time I got to him. I had more then enough competent healers, and didn't need anyone else to babysit in fights.
User avatar #9 to #7 - teoanon (01/02/2016) [-]
I skipped out on him in my first play-through, but Brady actually has a lot of potential if you get him out of Priest as soon as possible. Given that he's one of the few male children characters that can inherit Galeforce from their mother he makes a powerful offensive unit with a monster magic stat if given the right father.
#16 to #9 - shatt (01/02/2016) [-]
Robin and sumia, is the best couple tactically, 2 children with rally spectrum and gale force if you put sumia as a dark flier, they tear ************* ass
#32 to #16 - anon (01/03/2016) [-]
Technically, RobinxSumia is a waste of Robin's inheritance.

If you're going for best possible playthrough, you either save Robin for a second generation unit so you can have the objectively best unit, Morgan, or you give Robin to one of the three mothers that don't pass down galeforce (Nowi, Tharja, and Sully) so you can get as much versatility as possible. I say either-or because I am not 100% certain which option is best, it may even just be preference, but those are the optimal options.

Also, you don't want to have Morgan using Rally Spectrum. Rally Spectrum is an amazing skill, but it is a waste of Morgan's talents, since unless you actively try to gimp Morgan, s/he will likely be your best, most versatile unit. And with a unit that powerful, you're better off not making her a rally bot. That's usually just a waste of one of her actions per turn.
User avatar #19 to #16 - teoanon (01/02/2016) [-]
I wouldn't say it's the best tactically. Cynthia is already going to have access to Galeforce regardless of the father. Along with that, Morgan, as-well as any other offspring of Robin will have access to all the standard classes for their genders. So female Morgan has access to Galeforce.

Tactically if you're aiming for making two children it'd be better to have Robin be the father of a female child who doesn't gain access to the Falcon Knight class tree normally, such as Nah, Kjelle, or Noire. This isn't to say that Robin and Sumia is bad, as regardless of who you have Robin marry the offspring(s) will always tear ass.
User avatar #15 to #2 - Mr Unsmiley (01/02/2016) [-]
The two of them are jerkasses but they're hot jerkasses, and awesome units too. My Severa has soloed every map except for the highest difficulty outrealm fights, and Kjelle's not far behind.

I'll admit, I don't really bother with Brady because I already have plenty of clerics so I don't know how he plays, but I hate his design and speaking pattern.
#31 to #15 - anon (01/03/2016) [-]
Brady is reliably the best Sage in the game, and has the potential to be one of the best offensive magic users in the game because he has easy access to pretty much everything he could possibly need, including galeforce, which is something Laurent misses out on. He's not as good of a sorcerer as other units, but you only need so many sorcerers on a team in the first place.
User avatar #44 to #31 - Mr Unsmiley (01/03/2016) [-]
I never said he was bad, just that I disliked him. IMO he and Inigo have the worst designs of any of the Shepherds.
#50 to #44 - anon (01/03/2016) [-]
He's designed as a "delinquent" on the outside bu a lovable goof on the inside.

And I was just telling you how he plays. A lot of people write him off because he starts as a priest and their first thought is "I already have Lissa, Maribelle, Libra and possibly Miriel as healers, why would I need a new priest?" and bench him for good.

But the fact is, unless you gimped him with bad caps from his father, he is a magical/healing powerhouse that easily outclasses every first generation magical unit and most magical second generation units. Laurent, Noire and Severa can make better sorc tanks, and Cynthia makes a really good dark flier, but no one makes as good of a Sage as Brady, save for Morgan but s/he's best at everything.
#22 to #1 - nanglo (01/03/2016) [-]
I can't help but feel empathy toward the character of Brady.
His lift game is weak, he's a weight to his team and he knows it. So he tries his best to improve himself and becoming the helpful over the helped one, but genetics are a bitch and make him cough blood whenever he comes to run over 100m. Yet, that won't stop him from taking an arrow for his partners. He only trains to be strong enough to survive the day it would come to happen.

He's like a mix between mumen rider and an average funnyjunk user.

This may come as some surprise to you, but this version of the game has been modded. When programmers input diologue into cutscened (such as in the above) they number each line of diologue. In heavily modded scenes (such as above) character names are stripped away to reveal the name of the particular line of text. This is a good indicator that something has been heavily modded
User avatar #10 to #8 - revanmal (01/02/2016) [-]
You're a ******* retard. That's an area code with a "1-" put in front to indicate they're from two different numbers. The words are from Texts From Last Night.
