Honestly, Kotomi and Kappei route were sadder than any part of After Story, except for Naoyuki arc, for me. Also, Tomoyo best main heroine

Kotomi's route was the saddest one in Clannad. The anime ****** up a lot of character arcs by shoving characters in that didn't belong. Kotomi route was supposed to basically be only Tomoya and Kotomi for the majority of the route. Take this scene from the Sunohara route, for example. Watch it with the knowledge that Nagisa wasn't supposed to be in that scene, and see how pointless her presence is. Clannad Sunohara Siblings "I won't forgive those people who make Mei cry!"

Usually the Japanese versions are 70 bucks and not on steam and the versions for foreigners (no Japanese interface) are heck of a lot cheaper on steam.

Cant put a price on feels, i just watched the anime, but i bet the vn hits home harder, idk if it's fifty bucks harder, but if COD is worth 60, then imo clannad is worth 50. You are buying the story more than the graphics, you'd pay more for a multi-book series with the same amount of content.

It's 15-25 hours for ONE route if you don't skip any text. If you skip all the previously read text (i.e. common route section), you can cut down a route to about 10 hours. There are 11 school life routes and the two After Story routes, one of which is like 20 hours and the other only like 3-4.

To actually complete it you have to go through every character's arc and then the after story. Maybe you could do it that quickly if you used a guide and rushed through all the dialogue, but it doesn't seem like you'd get much out of it that way.

All of the Steam reviews say that it takes 80-100+ hours to complete it. Maybe that's not a good indicator, but I wouldn't know.

I admit I'm not a huge fan of CoD, but I do like GTA. It's a good game. It just doesn't give me the same heart-tug I get from different kinds of games.

Seeing games I like doing well makes me happy because it means I might see more of that kind of game released in the future. Is that so bad?
