Kentaro Miura writes, draws, letters and inks every issue. And his art is incredibly detailed and intricate.
Which is why it takes so long for each chapter.

Most animation both eastern and western are often outsourced to the philipines, thailand, and south korea. That's where animation is REALLY booming, and I'm preparing my anus for poor workers compensation so I can die following my dream.

Truthfully, "anime" can be made anywhere, sometimes companies just pretend to be japanese so that they don't get the Avatar/Teen Titans treatment and get called "wannabes".

Anime is just a flavor of animation, and like chinese noodles and french bread, it can be made anywhere as long as the skills, tools, and motivation exist.

You could make your own "amerime" right now and do a fine job at it if you tried.
So could I. I'm just #1, still in college, #2, I need writing staff, and #3, I need a day job that keeps me from being homeless while I put this together after 6PM.
Kickstarter can only do so much...

People act like the Ecchi, Fan service, slice of life **** just popped up out of nowhere. Does no one remember how sexualized anime has always been or are they just too blinded by nostalgia to notice. Yes, it is more prominent now, but thats the way the market is, thats the social crisis Japan is going through at the moment. Good anime is still being made, look for more than 2 seconds and you will find good **** .

That's because in average it takes 200.000 dollar budget for a normal episode of anime.
So lets say its a short series and it only has 10 episodes.
Its 2 million dollars.
So yes, unless studio's owner is willing to work for free, and all his animators will work for free, they have to make **** that sells.
