It is but you cant say that every new anime is like this and that we haven't had a few good ones in the past few years or so. I honestly don't mind fan serves in some situations, sometimes it's just funny you know, but in others when its constantly flashed on screen just to keep people interested, it distracts from plot or any chance at plot that anime had.

Yeah, well said. And yes as you said I cant say every anime that has been released recently was crap, but the numbers of 100% fanservice animes have increased drastically over the years. An example of an anime that started with a plot and ended in the 100% fanservice crapper is Infinite Stratos.

Zero no Tsukaima kinda fell into that pit too. I just like to watch up to the end second season and pretend that the series ended from there

Haha very true. The one i think of most was high school of the dead so much potential into nope just fan service by the end of the first episode.

Trying to find anime I like as a relatively inexperienced girl and every series I start on contains nothing but fan service. I'm almost at giving up. HOTD looked awesome, then I got sick of the panty shots. Elfin Lied is still a firm favourite, as well as spirited away.

I would also highly recommend Mirai Nikki, I loved it from start to end.

I recommend Mirai Nikki, my fav anime of all time (It contains a few fanservice parts, but not nearly enough for it to be annoying) and Deadman Wonderland, if you're into psychological and to some degree horror series what so ever.
