So, uh, when we finally develop perfect VR (with life-support and all that shizzle) would it be a bad thing to set up your perfect world and permanently retreat from society? Discuss.

No, they would still probably have to leave the house or something and work to make money and replace their broken fleshlight due to their extreme and rigorous repeated usage.
Been there, done that, and several of us went mad.
(Some of the escapists think they are animals[furries], some think they are gods[tards], and some of them ended up being nonsense rattling ********* that make no sense[me]. Overall I think humanity failed when the interwebs came. Most humans fell hard for the net and it's traps, heresy, and forbidden loves.)
Of course it will be a bad thing to permanently retreat from society. Living in a perfect world will probably switch the perspective of life you have and make you think the real world is "fake" or at least not worth living in.
that said creating a perfect world is something i would still do, even if it's not to go there all day erry day.
I dont think it would be any different than if you just sit in your house all day and browse dank memes, at least in that world you would be happy, the only thing would be trying to have enough money to sustain yourself for a long time, because i assuming buying all that, and then paying to keep it fora long time wont be cheap.
It's not like that's really possible, you can't survive on staying isolated in your room forever, unless another person is literally taking care of everything for you.
You have to be productive and not have constant free time at some point.
It's more of a thought experiment than anything I think will ever actually happen (unless you're obscenely rich). I like to consider the implications, I guess. My mom says I'm not weird!
Yes, no life-support system can last forever without maintenance, so it would be economically impossible to do, because the people maintaining it would gain nothing by doing so from the goodness of their hearts.
Besides, having everything go your way all the time is boring.
Doing so would still be the privilege of the elite and wealthy since it costs money to live either way. The average man will still have to work his life away.
As long as you're able to pay for your food a electricity it would be ok. Maybe you become some kind of organ donor that gets organs grown inside of you.
Taking notes. You're ahead of the curve here with this type of thinking.
So how many organs are we talking? And if one of them is a Vag, then I want to be allowed to exit the perfect fantasy VR to play with it and lose half my household objects in it.
You know, with futuristic stem-cell technology you'd be able to grow any organ you'd like inside of you without it being vital to you and if you don't even need to move out of your virtual world you could keep the extra organs safe from harm. When they're sold you get part of the profit in form of food, power and games. If you grow valuable organs like hearts livers you might even become a moderator some day. And who needs genitals anyway when you can simulate having one by sending the impression of having one directly to your brain?
Last part was a bit too matrixy,.... but I'm thinking of just putting my heart into my balls for the sake that neither will stop functioning when I'm in VR, and best then to pair them encase anything between the two stops and tries to halt either process from continuing. As for being a moderator for a few extra hearts and **** . Sure. I'm game, so long as those are hosted next to my balls too. Have to make sure those pups never die or slow down.
Can't ******* wait. Then I can make porn which reveals Admin's pec's in VR, and repost it endlessly to subdue the masses with glorious chesticles.
I feel like by the time its perfected enough for full vr worlds with life support and everything I will either be too old to care anymore or dead. The waifu age will be our children's or the generation afters experience. At least that is what I think on the matter. Although if anyone can prove me wrong that'd be cool cause I'd love to have full body vr and **** .
I think that if you really do want to escape into this future VR, then you should. But will you actually feel happy? I don't know. The way escapism works is that it's nice every now and then, but not all the time. It's like any addiction: you feel great the first time, you keep doing it, feel great, etc. But more and more the good feelings start to dull, and you keep pumping in more of your addiction. But at a point it stops being "fun" or "good", it starts becoming a necessity. It's not enjoyment, it's habit.
I can see that some may make a counter-argument "oh, but then wouldn't the same happen in real life no matter what? The VR is simulating your life, just changed a bit." I disagree with that. Real life throws curveballs left and right, allowing you to never experience the same thing over and over again, unless you fully intentionally make that happen. I could go on more with this, but maybe I should stop.
Good thing you don't play in the Middle-East server. Thousands of players left it for the EU server because of the faction wars. Outsideâ„¢ MMORPG is the best game
The funny **** is that the VR craze, to include those exact form of goggles has been out since the 80's. >.>; The graphical end and other things of programming didn't make many want it very much until recently. I used to own a pair of those... Now I regret surrendering them.
His milkshake brings all the boys to the yard.... And they're like "OH **** IT'S A DUDE ON THE OTHER END" cept the one guy from server 118, who is like "CHICKS WITH DICKS! I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR YOU FOR SO LONG!" (Meanwhile Joshlol is watching while breathing heavily over the mic.)
