but it is still plausible. Let's say Mycroft working in MI6 (or something similar) took precaution and he erased from the existence the records of his family and anything similar and made up the name "Holmes". Obviously knowing his brother he expected he might do something terrible in the future and as a good brother did the same for Sherlock.

I just recently started watching it, but I love it so far. I only started because people say I look like L, so he was automatically a character I could relate to.
