I know it's been said before and at the risk of sounding like some sort of weeaboo hipster, but it seems like most modern anime is ecchi or ********* .

And this is the stuff people see when they think of anime. But hey, at least it's staying true to the source material...

Iv'e never watched gundam but I have watched code geass so I think I understand at least some of your frustration. Mechas can be cool.
It's still now my fault that the market is saturated with harems and ecchi. The companies gotta make a profit somehow.

There's a lot of the anime market which is catered to people like me who somewhat enjoy shows like this, but there is also a huge portion that is still dedicated to "robots and dudes punching dudes". There's currently airing shows like Gangsta or God Eater or Rokka no Yuusha that contain little to no content regarding "ecchi or ********* "

They were all spying on Kurusu and didn't want to be recognized so they got Suu (Slime) to morph in to disguises so they could hide in plain sight, Papi had Suu morph in to arms, legs and cleavage as to fool kurusu which went well until Suu dropped the phone in to herself and tried to fish it out.
