I didn't know a bundle of sticks watched anime. Logic, doe..
User avatar #43 to #41 - topheavymonkeyy (04/03/2013) [-]
I agree with anon on this, Anime is just a silly fantasy world for children's cartoon shows or for teenage boys (14-18+) to jerk off.

I really think people can enjoy what they want to though, so I won't have a hissy-fit about what they watch and whether I like it or not. But I also refuse to call someone a ****** or anything suck like, Mainly because i don't judge people like that.

-I said, I didn't want to generalize you and call you all ******* in as a group because it's wrong of people to do that, also, If you notice, Naruto, Bleach and DBZ and so on are set towards children, reflecting on my point, the one's that aren't 'plot' are children's

Also, I never fully said that it is ALL NSFW or fap material, I just said it isn't really enjoyable with all the fan hype about boobs and such floating around

Clannad/Clannad after story. enough said.
#64 to #59 - anonymous (04/04/2013) [-]
^This. Darker than Black is good too, neither fap material nor a children's story.

yeah im currently trying to get into security work haha
User avatar #95 to #94 - savirleo (04/05/2013) [-]
security guard? Don't you need proof of a clean background?
User avatar #96 to #95 - tehnoobpwnzor (04/05/2013) [-]
can easily get a clean back ground check but i also need my SIA license which im in the process of obtaining
User avatar #97 to #96 - savirleo (04/05/2013) [-]
Over here, we need a PERC card, which requires a fingerprint scan and sending the form with a payment to the state
User avatar #98 to #97 - tehnoobpwnzor (04/05/2013) [-]
we just have to take a test to get the license XD but if you're in US i imagine security guards there get weapons. we actually aren't allowed to inflict any physical damage we are only allowed to restrain
User avatar #99 to #98 - savirleo (04/05/2013) [-]
as far as I know, training is given, as well as needing the card
User avatar #100 to #99 - tehnoobpwnzor (04/05/2013) [-]

User avatar #105 to #104 - savirleo (04/05/2013) [-]
You're 19? You're the same age as me. I had to work 12hr night shifts, and have gotten used to it rather fast. I'm sure you can handle it as well
User avatar #79 to #60 - savirleo (04/05/2013) [-]
When you're making money like that, it's understandable that you'd want to continue.
Not even local colleges?
User avatar #80 to #79 - tehnoobpwnzor (04/05/2013) [-]
only places that offer any kind of japanese course are universities so im up **** creek without a paddle really :P but i intend to get a working holiday job over in japan working in a bar or restaurant so i reckon il learn that way and yeah the money was great i had a couple of grand to myself in just 2 weeks
User avatar #81 to #80 - savirleo (04/05/2013) [-]
I meant start off at a local college to raise your qualifications, then transfer to a university that has it

Also, I heard that Japanese are xenophobic as **** . They tolerate tourists, but don't really like those that move there. They tend to assume that they came for the anime
User avatar #82 to #81 - tehnoobpwnzor (04/05/2013) [-]
ah right i get what you mean now and id like to go to college but funds are restrictive and i need to find employment or im gonna end up in a bad place i don't wanna be in.

i haven't heard that before, the people i've spoken to over their seemed very welcoming especially since alot of business over their revolves around guest houses and stuff but anime for me is like a pass time i'd like to learn more about the culture but im sure anywhere will be difficult for the first few months and they may dislike foreigners moving over their i mean UK is like that a lot of people are against letting people in but alot of people like foreigners guess it's pot luck on who i meet when i get their whether it be haters or people who like me but i'l get by i don't have many friends in my own country so i think i could manage with just a few over there :P
User avatar #83 to #82 - savirleo (04/05/2013) [-]
You'll probably do better than me. I've worked 3 jobs, yet only have less than a month of work

Dude. Commas and periods.

You've probably met with the ones that are friendlier, that are actually willing to talk to you. The ones that don't wouldn't exactly go and chat with a foreigner
User avatar #84 to #83 - tehnoobpwnzor (04/05/2013) [-]
sorry man, it's likw 4:30am here haha my typing hasn't wavered but i forget a lot of punctuation when i'm tired haha and working is a lot different from running your own business, any work you cba to do you can hand off to someone else when it's your own company haha
User avatar #85 to #84 - savirleo (04/05/2013) [-]
I'm guessing you opened a shop?
User avatar #86 to #85 - tehnoobpwnzor (04/05/2013) [-]
online business renting space is a waste in this economy
User avatar #87 to #86 - savirleo (04/05/2013) [-]
so you worked alone. Can't you keep doing that as a side thing?
User avatar #88 to #87 - tehnoobpwnzor (04/05/2013) [-]
waste of time, while it might be still able to make a little money id rather seek employment and focus on my studies the whole handling the books and balancing my accounts plus tax stuff is a royal pain in the arse
User avatar #89 to #88 - savirleo (04/05/2013) [-]
I meant as in find parts when people need them. Not open another business. A side thing, like a hobby
User avatar #90 to #89 - tehnoobpwnzor (04/05/2013) [-]
ahh id still have to get insurance and keep the books and register it otherwise if i were found to be profiting but not under registration i could get a hefty fine
User avatar #91 to #90 - savirleo (04/05/2013) [-]
really. Not around here as far as I know. I can do something minor like build computers for people and not really need to register things, as far as I know
User avatar #92 to #91 - tehnoobpwnzor (04/05/2013) [-]
it really depends i think i could go with a small operation but tbh i feel as if it would be a bad idea atm

User avatar #68 to #67 - savirleo (04/04/2013) [-]
DxD. The novels are farther along, so I mostly read those. Funnier moments too. I've heard that HSoD is getting a second season, but I don't know if it's true
User avatar #69 to #68 - tehnoobpwnzor (04/04/2013) [-]
id love to read the highschool DxD novels but my japanese isn't on that level yet i can barely hold a conversation atm
User avatar #70 to #69 - savirleo (04/04/2013) [-]
who says you need to know how to read japanese?

Although in all honesty, I wish I could, so I can actually read the ones I want to
User avatar #71 to #70 - savirleo (04/04/2013) [-]

User avatar #72 to #71 - tehnoobpwnzor (04/04/2013) [-]

User avatar #74 to #73 - tehnoobpwnzor (04/04/2013) [-]

User avatar #78 to #75 - tehnoobpwnzor (04/05/2013) [-]

User avatar #76 to #75 - tehnoobpwnzor (04/04/2013) [-]
downloading now dude and i was a failure through school i have no qualifications as such i've developed my own skills didn't let myself get dragged down like the rest though, i build computers, 3D design and animation, tattoo design and once ran my own company (went bust) im 19 btw lol but no uni would accept me on a scholarship and i couldnt get a grant (i tried)
User avatar #77 to #76 - savirleo (04/05/2013) [-]
I was a 1.8 in HS. I still managed to get a scholarship for half tuition. Try starting at a community college then transfer

What was your company?
User avatar #56 to #55 - topheavymonkeyy (04/03/2013) [-]
I understand your point and I never wanted to cause an argument about it and I know it's hard to find safe anime.
But at the same time I know you're not a utter idiot who thinks stuff in anime actually happens. I appreciate that.
