No, no. It's a legitimate question.

Why the **** is this cast so god-damned white? It's set in the ******* desert and not one of them has even the hint of a tan.

Because no one would watch an anime with ***********

Because noone wants to see ******* as protagonists?

Asian countries' people usually tend to be racist (Doesn't mean they're bad people, it's just how it is). Usually most anime are set in Japan, right?
Japanese people have yellow tints to their skin and smaller eyes while anime have white skin, such as a causations and massive eyes. And why do you never see a normal black person in any anime made in a Asian country?

what REALLY bothers me, is that they've seen the need to provide the middle character with those sex-lines at the bottom (no idea what they're called)

Yeah... the shorts are a tad low-cut.

Well, spoilers aside you've also got Massur and the Swordsman General from Sinbad and that Indian chick from the first manga chapter.

I'm out in the sun a lot, too, and I never tan. I go from pasty white to lobster sun burnt, no in between. But as for them, I have no clue. Aladdin was white in the Disney movie as well.

he goes from tan to white doesnt he?
User avatar #11 to #8 - snowshark (05/25/2013) [-]
Also, in manga you save on inking costs if everyone's white as the paper.

Actually, he is a little tanned. Not so much that it is significant but he's not fully white.

Also, I imagine you probably don't come from a long line of ancestors from round-about the middle-east/africa type areas of the world. I mean, white guys who don't tan well are pretty common, but it's just kinda funny how they're still so white even when they do have tanned people around them, just those tanned people almost never make up a part of the main or even secondary cast.

The only two I can think of are Massur and the sword guy who teaches Alibaba whose name I can't remember and am too lazy to google.
