Not perfect, in the blue flame DLC. Going down the wrong ladders can sometimes put you underground. Which is hilarious but wastes an entire character and a turn.
Oh my god, better make sure you will never pick gallian crossfire up. I didn't know what was it like to fall anus-first on a hydrant until I played that mod.
If you're referring to Jaeger's tank , then that's because you got greedy. You're not even supposed to fight it then, it takes forever and you'll never A-rank if you try.
I'm referring to Maxwell . On the level called "Finale: Shadow of the Valkyur." He casually walked up and shot THROUGH Edelweiss' front and hit the weakpoint for a one-shot kill. I think it was a bug? But I was pissed enough I stopped for the night and just never picked it back up.
Take out the three energy things with snipers each turn. It doesn't matter if you don't do any damage to Maxwell, but you CANNOT let them stay up at the end of your turn or he'll **** you in the ass. Honestly you're not going to get much use out of Edelweiss anyway; the most you'll need it for is dropping smoke shells to reduce his accuracy so he can't **** you in the ass.
Then you need stormtroopers to get up close to him, preferably ones with flamethrowers AND Potentials that boost their attack, accuracy, or number of attacks per round. Then you just mow him down. I used flamethrowers because they do all-but guaranteed heavy damage.
You will need AT LEAST two snipers, two stormtroopers, and an engineer for this, as well as Alicia, Largo, Rosie, and Zaka for their Command Points. The engineer is for helping your snipers reload.
Currently halfway through new game+
I could talk about this game for hours but here is my regret in buying it.
For the next 4 months. The only games Steam recommended to me were anime.
Visual novels, dating sims, point and click adventures, daily life simulators, mystery strategy games, those weird RPG's, Hack and Slash, and of course Sakura **** .
I don't hate anime but after the third month I was ready to burn everything in Japan to the ground.
But yeah good game.
I rarely savescummed when I played Xcom. Once or twice when I had a bad run and got wiped for some ******** . Usually due to those "70% chance to hit actually means you'll miss 9/10 times, so the aliens are just going to walk over you like Jesus"
Started playing Halfway, recently, and it's even worse with the RNG.
Yeah the game uses half turn based, half 3rd person shooter mechanic. Which is interesting as hell. The tank driving, while limited (as you can only move a certain distance before the turn for the tank runs out), it still makes you feel powerful as **** when you've been moving infantry around.
In conclusion, it's a great strategy game, but it's not World of Tanks.
