Wow, people talking about all that anime shit while I only saw Dragon Ball, Shaman King and Samurai X.
Do you guys really enjoy anime?!

The stories of anime can be way more creative and have a lot more plot than with actual shows. I'm the kind of guy which (yes hate me for it) probably wouldn't cry if my whole family died saving me in front of my eyes since I barely have any emotions at all. I've never had any feels in any shows or any movies but I've felt some slight feels from anime and manga and I've also seen some really fucked up shit which would make me want to kill people if I knew about it in real life. Anime can just give you some great plot and that's all there is to it.
Well, I've only watched Death Note, and I loved it. I've seen a season or so of another anime, but can't remember it's name (something about a girl on a circus, with a talking doll or something like that). I don't really care if a show is a regular cartoon, an anime, a film, or whatever, as long as it has a good story, good characters, and everything else.
So, yeah I guess

I see no reason not to like anime..
Not trying to sound like a asshat fanboy or anything.. it's just a medium for conveying a story, it's much more versatible than live action is too, so you can do things you would never have been able to do with live actors.
It also has the most insufferable fanbase of any fandom.

THe manga is the comic version, since making the comics is easier and less expensive than doing the anime usually the manga has more fights, more storyline and less fillers.
For example, shaman king.
In the anime there is not a conclusive ending and many fights that appear in the manga are not there, also the fights are more crude in the manga.
In the manga you get to see chocolovs second spirit (an inca demigod) and also you learn that Horo Horo was actually as strong as Hao at the start but kept his strengh level hidden.
You also have a final conclusive fight against Hao. The anime prety much left it inconclusive.
