Most of the time, if a fat person is on the cover, poster, or DVD art, and they're being made fun of, it's a trashy comedy and you know exactly what you're getting.
Because the americunts bothered making a decent cover instead of going "moshi mosi, generic cover â„–28 832 desu". Well, atleast it's a bit less generic.
First I got confused because I couldn't understand why the japanese version would write their cover in english, the I realized, I don't know the difference between left and right...
i'd rather be mocking the japanese covers because of how simplistic they are. that's all it takes to lure customers to purchase these? just a normal girl? pretty ridiculous
Makes sense. We like to make sure the cover of something matches the material inside...most of the time. Seriously, what the **** was up with GoW3's box art. The right was what we were supposed to get. The left is what we got.
I don't think a cover needs to tell you what it's about, hence the whole "don't judge a book by it's cover" thing. Besides the one on the left is much better than the right imo.
If you don't recognize one of the greatest game franchises of all time, you could always just read the back of the case for some screenshots and a synopsis, covers aren't supposed to tell you what it's about, it's supposed to be eye catching.
Japanese Version: Placing a joyful tone on a morbid subject. Like Tarantino playing pop songs while a guy's ear gets cut off.
American Version: Yes, this is definitely that zombie manga you were looking for. Also, some of these covers (like #2) will make you really uncomfortable once we start talking about her ****** up relationship with her father.
