Best anime ever.

I've only read the manga but from what I've heard the anime was kind of lack luster. I can't judge since i haven't seen it.

If you are comparing it to the manga or the novels then it isn't anywhere near as good as them, because it spoils all of the surprises, however I loved seeing how each version was going to differ from the last. I also find the moe/kawaii and gore combination a great taste.
