this series was the best Fallout 4 OVA that i ever see, i hope they made another one more close to Boston this time and more close to the lore than just Melee at 100.
Oh so for Naruto, which has a ******* plot, its all fine and dandy to have fillers everywhere, but for this anime, from which i would love to see fillers, there is none?
To be fair, there is a ton of content that they could use between Boros and Garou. The Murata version isn't anywhere near done with Garou arc but ONE's webcomic is far past it now. They could put their own filler and finally have some sweet fights with some of the monsters they created for the intro and have the season finale be the Heroes Association vs Garou and Saitama vs the who Monsters Association. I think they could get another 12-13 episodes out of the current content without too much filler
You switched Saitama and Garou so it looks like you though I meant Saitama and Garou fighting the two Associations? I meant like the Heroes Association vs Garou as a big battle and then Saitama vs the entire Monster Association after
6 OVAs are being made, probably showing some of Garu's or Kings/Blizzards arc but not much has happened on the redrawn manga, a lot has on ONEs. Saitama vs psychic girl.
All 6 OVA titles are announced and one has been released. No Garou or King unfortunately, but one is about Fubuki and Tats!
Ep 1: A Shadow That Snuck Up Too Close
Ep 2: The Pupil Who Is an Extremely Poor Talker
Ep 3: The Ninja Who is Too Complicated
Ep 4: Bang, Who is Too Overbearing
Ep 5: The Sisters Who Have Too Many Things Happening
Ep 6: The Murder Case that is Too Impossible
The Garou arc that would likely make up Season 2 is not finished yet. There is currently not enough Manga/webcomic content to make a Season 2 of OPM.
Murata, the guy who is currently writing OPM, has said he is going to double down on writing the content so that Season 2 can happen as soon as possible.
The Garou arc is over as far as I was aware, because Garou has been defeated (everyone saw it coming but still a spoiler) .
So yeah, Murata has been fluffing up with that stuff about the giant centipede and metal bat but he isn't writing OPM, he's redrawing it and adding some more chapters to make the story more filled out and consistant and he's working with ONE to do so.
There is more than enough content to create season 2, but you know how it is with shows, the S2 will likely be out after a year or two.
You really should.
A few minor spoilers that won't ruin anything: Some other heros find out how strong Saitama really is, mostly S class heros I think it's actually better that they don't know how strong he is, it leads to some funny circumstances
And the manga is really good, Muratas version has great art but has a bit of a fetish for metal bat the recent chapters diverged from the Garou arc to a fight between metal bat and a giant centipede, Garou does show up but its just taking too long. Should have been maybe a chapter or two, 3 at most IMO. . ONEs version is much further ahead but the story can jump about a bit, especially in the earlier chapters. You can see the art getting better as it goes though and it's interesting to see.
I would suggest, for first time readers, reading Muratas version until about chapter 53, then try ONEs version, because his arts a lot better by then and Muratas starts diverging more about that point. It's still worth reading but for the near future the two versions have some pointed divergencies, they're planning on working to sync them back up though.
To be fair, metal bat is cool as **** , and I can't get enough of hearing the sound of him pelting **** with his metal bat in my head. It's just the most satisfying sound. That slight, sharp ring ever-so-gently muffled by hitting something in the face. One of the best sounds in the wo- I think I might have a problem...
He is a cool character, everyone else has all those high tech weapons or super advanced martial arts or all that **** .
He hits things with a bat.
And he still has a really ordinary life.
I like the dichotomy
But the giant centipede chapters take way too long, surely you have to agree.
I agree, but I do not mind. I'm not left gagging for the next chapter of One Punch Man. The only manga that can do that for me is Kingdom and occasionally Boku no Hero Academia, both of which are weekly series.
I know, but they still do get an idea of how strong he is, and its better that they don't believe he could defeat anything. They'd just get him to handle everything major and the entire story would be ruined, it'd just be consecutive single punches Serious Series: Consecutive Normal Punches
It's good. I just wish they'd quit wasting time padding episodes with so many ulterior characters. Most of these characters take up an enormous amount of time while really mostly being 1 trick gags or spoofs. The show could be even better if it'd focus more on its main character Saitama. The show itself started off with a relatively interesting premise and introspection, what do you do when you're so powerful, you defeat everything with a single punch? While the humor and great animation make the show enjoyable, it's got a couple of issues keeping it from being even better.
TLDR: Great animation, decent humor. Show needs to focus on its main character more.
It's following the manga pretty faithfully, and the manga did indeed start by jumping around a lot. This was because ONE just drew whatever the hell he felt like without really worrying about the story, but this turns out not so bad after the story gets more important than what seems interesting to draw which was pretty much his original way of deciding what happened in the chapter .
Because you're already introduced to them, it's not just a new character thats suddenly important, it's someone who was interesting and left and then comes back important
Its that way because in the manga, the other characters get more involved.
I.e. eventually the green haired ESP chick finds out saitama is actually really strong... and without any background it would effect the series. However that being said... it seems that the way the anime was made meant it was intended to continue but thats a long time away.
>Of the season
Like..towards the end of the year? Yeah sure, its the best anime- At the end of the year.
Overlord i was sweating over the next episode because it had me at the end of my seat. I honestly don't see the hype behind One Punch. TO ME, It has no story Arc, it just starts off with "Yeah this is badly mcbald bald the 3rd. He's the most powerful being in all creation" And then i have to pretend to be surprised when he wins a fight, "oh no he defeated the deep sea king with one punch...its almost like its the title or something.."
So yeah i enjoyed it, but i wouldn't say "best anime of the season" if you're just going to piss over all the other Hyped Animes that came through FJ.
This is my opinion. I don't need someone adjusting their glasses to chalk up their "Arguments won" Board about how i'm wrong. I just didnt get as hyped as i did for overlord.
I feel conflicted since Overlord and One Punch Man were two standouts for me this year, however I have not seen a lot of this year's stuff.
I just find the premises and world interesting and easy to get into. The pacing isn't as slow as other shows and I can understand what's going on, on top of them having good to great productiob values. To each their own, as their is no "best anime," as it is all opinion.
out of all the people who responded to this, you're the first who actually read the spoiler i think. So thanks for that.
Overlord i guess i just found the story more interesting because i've always been a fan of "Villain" characters, so an Anime where he practically is the villain (Where he really isn't in most cases) is neat.
I think you kind of missed the point of the show. The conflict doesn't stem from the challenge of fights like with other shows, it's the fact that he's the greatest hero around, yet gets no recognition and even a lot of hate because he looks too ordinary for people to believe him, hence why they start believing he's a fraud.
Kinda hilarious considering Ainz is vastly more overrated and OP than Saitama. At least the enemies in OPM actually came over as threatening and actually gave heroes interesting battles where as in Overlord the only 3 battles in the entire anime safe from Shaltear ended with some ******** chant.
If you watch OPM with purely the idea of Saitama winning battles in mind you're watching it the wrong way.
"Yeah this is badly mcbald bald the 3rd. He's the most powerful being in all creation" And then i have to pretend to be surprised when he wins a fight, "oh no he defeated the deep sea king with one punch...its almost like its the title or something.."
Like....I haven't watched the anime, yet....but, from what I've seen, it follows the manga pretty much word for word, aye?
I think a lot of people miss the fact that OPM isn't really about Saitama OHKOing everything. It's about the fact that he's so incredibly powerful, and yet he's a real ******* hero. While all the rest of the heroes, save for stuff like License-less Rider and maybe Bang, are just a bunch of ****** candy asses with egos bigger than...something really ****** big. It's feel good, be inspired hero **** .
In some episodes they rearranged some scences, but nothing to cry about.
I saw the anime first so I was a bit disappoint that in the manga Caped Baldy didn't punched a hole in the rocks behind Genos.
I dunno. I found the ending kind of.... Lack luster. The animation for the fight was awesome but nothing was really required of Saitama to do it so it was just more of the same. Of course that's the issue with a series that follows a character that doesn't really grow. No real emotional payoff or climax. I would have loved an ending where Saitama's good nature would have been tested. Like he did something that had really negative consequences in the eyes of the general public that would have turned most people against him. And how he deals with that would make up season two. But you know not my anime. xD
Love the series though.
I do look forward to the inevitable fight between Amai Mask and Saitama as he goes from A to S if only so that Amai gets socked in his gay face.
he kind of did that in the Sea King arc. He didn't do anything wrong, but he made himself look bad for the sake of the heroes who gave it their all.
While Saitama cannot be injured anymore, he remembers what it was like to be weak, to feel pain, and the determination it takes to stand up to an uncertain fate. That's why he does it. It doesn't matter what people think of him.
The finale, to me, was a look at someone similar to Saitama (Boros) who wanted to feel the thrill of a fight again, but fail to get it. The end of the fight seems to be Saitama having to come to terms that no one can ever challenge him again. What's different now is that he has met Genos and Mumen (License-less) Rider and is trying to feel through other ways than fighting. A bit of a reach, I know, but I take the series as a whole and can appreciate all the little things much more.
Also, that fight at the end was badass, so I'm happy. Glad to hear others still like the series regardless
What I love about this episode is that the intro was basically part of the episode with some music in the background.
I hope this series will keep itself free of filler. I mean, even Saitama doesn't agree with filler "Summarize it in 20 words or less !".
