They'll be banned before they can take hold. Canada is already moving to ban them because they promote 'gender inequality' and make women look like 'sex objects'
#430 to #5 - xxxsonic fanxxx (05/14/2013) [-]
Then they should ban dildos & vibrators too. It makes men seem like sex objects! Q_Q
User avatar #383 to #5 - lightninghedgehog ONLINE (05/14/2013) [-]
and dildos don't make men look like "sex objects"?
User avatar #391 to #383 - kevinspacey **User deleted account** (05/14/2013) [-]
yeah but if you ban dildos then you will also have ton ban cucumbers. After that they will all start using other stuff such as the handle of hairbrushes
User avatar #321 to #5 - tekoronia (05/14/2013) [-]
Hey, make a male sex robot and it'll fix everything.
#257 to #5 - xxxsonic fanxxx (05/14/2013) [-]
They've been making dildos for years but if you make a sex toy modeled after a woman it promotes "gender inequality".
#330 to #257 - xxxsonic fanxxx (05/14/2013) [-]
yes because that's exactly the same thing.
nice logic there mong.
User avatar #223 to #5 - nervaaurelius (05/14/2013) [-]
Don't feminists love to embrace their sexuality and call it liberation? Why can't a man do the same in his own way?
#226 to #223 - xxxsonic fanxxx (05/14/2013) [-]
Its the retarded logic of the outspoken minorities, the "if Im offended, i deserve to be compensated" mentality.
#205 to #5 - xxxsonic fanxxx (05/14/2013) [-]
Honestly, I think real feminists would be cool with this. Then, it could keep you bros away from them and everything is fine. A male model would be awesome too.

User avatar #77 to #5 - heartlessrobot (05/14/2013) [-]
I doubt it. Then there'll be an outcry against dildos.
User avatar #74 to #5 - nexu (05/14/2013) [-]
**** ! anyone have a source for this? I don't want to not have a sex robot, I hope this isn't true

One could argue that dildos make men look like sex objects,
but you don't see us ******* complaining!
#392 to #44 - xxxsonic fanxxx (05/14/2013) [-]
well, if there weren`t dildos it would probably be easier to please chicks in the sack so i might complain
#22 to #5 - xxxsonic fanxxx (05/13/2013) [-]
what about ******* dildos? they sex bots are basically smarter fleshlights.
#15 to #5 - Kairyuka (05/13/2013) [-]
So the creation of ACTUAL sex objects make women seem like sex objects?

Well women are already using sex robots, so I kinda fail to see the issue. It's just because this case is shaped like a woman, the opposite wouldn't be complained about.

creating a woman to be treated literally as a sex object, would in fact make the implication that women are sex objects.

so yes.

"Creating a woman"
Nooo, creating a robot shaped like a woman. It's going to be difficult for you, if you can't differentiate between fantasy and reality.
#234 to #225 - xxxsonic fanxxx (05/14/2013) [-]
it's designed to be a woman. regardless of whether it's real or not, the implication is still there.
User avatar #334 to #234 - indeedaleedoo (05/14/2013) [-]
A dildo is designed to be a dick, that ''implies'' men are sex objects. Should we ban them?
User avatar #254 to #234 - Kairyuka (05/14/2013) [-]
It's designed to look like a woman. So are many other things. It is not in fact, a woman, but an object. I don't understand what's so hard about this.
#263 to #254 - xxxsonic fanxxx (05/14/2013) [-]
are you really so arrogant as to imply that I'm not aware that it's an object?

designing something intending to be a woman which is to be used solely for sex IMPLIES that women are to be treated as sex objects BECAUSE it's designed to look like a woman.

"I don't understand what's so hard about this."
User avatar #264 to #263 - Kairyuka (05/14/2013) [-]
Nope, it implies that the sex object is to be treated as a sex object instead of the women. It's really not hard once you learn to understand the difference between fantasy and reality
#272 to #264 - xxxsonic fanxxx (05/14/2013) [-]
it's not an issue of fantasy and reality, it's implications made by defining the image of a woman as an object purely for sexual gratification. that is sexist, regardless of the fact that it is merely an object. when you represent a person as something, you don't just transfer the connotations associated with it, they become intertwined. If I make a lifesize model of you and take a knife to it repeatedly, you would find that offensive, and that would in fact be grounds for you to press legal charges, as my actions to an object designed to portray you represents my feelings towards you, which in this case would be threatening. in the same way, portraying a woman as nothing more than a sex object is offensive because it portrays the connotation that women ought to be used solely for sexual gratification.

for the record, your condescending attitude doesn't make you sound more intelligent, it just makes you sound like a pretentious cunt.

User avatar #276 to #272 - baaltomekk (05/14/2013) [-]
Your example is pretty bad. In this example, it wouldn't be a lifesize model of a specific person, but just a lifesize model of a human without face. Guess what? People are doing this every day (not last to mention the military). And noone ist offended by this.
User avatar #274 to #272 - Kairyuka (05/14/2013) [-]
Well what about other sex toys? Do you dislike those too? To be perfectly honest, you can stab a copy of me all you want or **** it or what you want to do. It doesn't affect me in the slightest.

Not saying I totally agree with either of you, but what about child sex robots. From your logic they are okay. I just want to know your opinion and how it conflicts with everyoe and blah blah...(I just wanted to make things interesting without starting a ********* ..)
User avatar #373 to #352 - Kairyuka (05/14/2013) [-]
If it makes child molesters use robots instead of children, is that not a good thing?
User avatar #445 to #373 - oodlesandoodles (05/14/2013) [-]
Not really, because it'll only feed their bad habits and encourage them.
User avatar #474 to #445 - Kairyuka (05/14/2013) [-]
Maybe it will, but I don't think so. Either way, if you have any studies to prove your point, you're more well-supported in your arguments than me, but if not, this is just a battle of opinion
User avatar #466 to #445 - yipkendu (05/14/2013) [-]
The problem with all of this is that there is no evidence. It's just like the "don't teach our children about sex because they will go off to **** like rabbits" myth that parents love to toss at schools that try to better society.

We can't say for sure it will encourage them to commit felonies, but we can't say it won't either.
User avatar #471 to #466 - oodlesandoodles (05/14/2013) [-]
Teaching children about sex is one thing. Giving a child molester a child sex-bot and saying: "Here, **** this." is another matter entirely.
The point is that teaching is not the same as enabling, but you're right. Most parents don't understand the difference
User avatar #253 to #234 - huszti (05/14/2013) [-]
so, would it be okay to design it to be a man?

User avatar #258 to #256 - huszti (05/14/2013) [-]
i don't think we need a line at all; we could design it to be or look like anything; it's still just an object and not a sentient being.
User avatar #262 to #258 - karvarausku ONLINE (05/14/2013) [-]
Yes... When you think about it there are many good reasons for it to be free product that it could look like anything, but only thing wrong is how people would see it... Soon would brake out the riots "robot sex is destroying human population" and "humans were ment for each other" such things...
