I loved the first season for the fact, that Itami and the other soldier guy were the anime version of me and my friend during service. And oh what sweet autism we shared.
**mamfi used "*roll picture*"** **mamfi rolled image**
No homo tho.
That's pretty much it
We had fun, made fun of each other. Then we graduated.
I am the one fully dressed on the floor... With the collar... **** the guy with the gas mask, faggot got named ebola after he fell asleep on tent heating duty for the seventh time...IN WINTER. Ah the memories we shared.
''ONE SLEEPING BAG! FILLED WITH TWO FIGHTERS. AS YOU SEE FIT. YOU MAY PROCEED!''
I was named ''Dealer'' I had almost every legal kind drug with me there.
We had the ''weeb warriors'' Me and the guy with similar hat.
We were always watching videos of LoL or talking **** about each others waifus.
Ah sweet autism and memories. Never forgetti.
Bro behind me got married during service, and is still with her. Normies amma rite!
Behind him we have the ''Swedishwrestler'', Not because he was Swed or anything but he was the very pinnacle of stupidity. Before live--ammo camp he asked '' Do we take our mags with us?''.
Then on the far left we got '' ********* Literally ****** every girl in town.
On the other weebs right we got our A+ soldier boy, the best of the best. Plays wow, and heartstone. Good guy, buys me coffee here and there.
Then we got the ''Chain smoker'' Prob on the most highest in the pic. ALWAYS and I mean every time we had a moment or time to rest. ''Miss Sergeant, rookie Spurdo, May we smoke?''... And oh boy did he smoke.
Then we got the''MRVMTL'' (He don't got to do **** ) Always sick or hurt. Always relieved of physical exercise or outside duties.
''Short dick'' The one who was 195 cm tall. Pretty much reverse nickname. He was cool dude with his fancy watch and **** .
I used 40mins of my work time on this little story where I introduce the Room ''Punkaharju'' 404 to ya'll.
Roll better be godlike on this one.
As long as you can. With open mind, time flies by so fast that you wont believe it.
Most of the time the place feels like kindergarten for grownups so the longer you stay I the more fun you'll have there. I really liked my time being there, but they still would not accept me to AUK. (Not that I am salty or anything, but **** 'em). Highly depends on how you feel about FDF in general, I myself don't really care for guns or fighting. But if there is even a hair of a warrior in you you are going to love it.
+ Tips and tricks to have easiest time in the FDF
Plan what you'll need to wear when going out, wear clothes in multiple layers.
Do what you are told, when you are told.
ALWAYS sleep naked when camping outside, and dry your socks and double check all your clothes.
Remember to change clothes between 2-3 days, even if you cant get to shower you need to wear clean clothes.
Always pack a small med kit where ever you are, FDF is a place where everyone gets hurt at some point.
Sleep whenever you see a chance.
BRUSH YOUR ******* TEETH PRIVATE!
And the most important thing, enjoy your mornings.
Oh they have a black guy there for navy seals. The fact the japs killed them really pissed me off as well. Bunch of racist stuck up xenophobic assholes.
Not exactly, the anime version was a toned down version of the light novel. The light novel contain some left or right wing messages, like wanting to boot US forces of Japan and changing JSDF to JDF(a very very serious thing).
In fact, once the underlying far left/right message was toned down in the anime, JSDF adoringly support the anime version.
but the manga turned to complete **** once the mangaka tried his hand in politics and **** ... he can't write for **** when it comes down to that... the entire story went down the drain there...
especially the lack of action when they found out the massive amount of japanese slaves that are kept there... because ****** bad political writing
To be fair, the US has an absurdly large army. It'd make sense for them to brag a bit (given that they don't have much else to brag about). GATE is desperately trying to make the JHDF seem not **** , so someone actually enlists. It's almost like a recruitment campaign.
Its not like they do anything especially amazing in it, its more on the level of the author being proud of humanities current armies in general
The other countries armies dont exactly fail, they have to infiltrate with small numbers against an enemy that expects it who has homecourt advantage
Yeah, it's not meant to make it seem amazingly good. It's just meant to make it seem interesting. Like something people would want to join. Because being part of a home defense force is some reeeeeeeeeeeeeally boring **** .
Makes sense, except that our protagonist doesnt like the military and only joined for a steady paycheck and did the awesome **** cause they would revoke his anime privileges otherwise
And im saying why are everyone so angry over it when pretty much every movie about war is propaganda
Either it goes: "war is horrible" or it goes "america kicks ass" or "nazis are evil" etc.
Oh, that's easy. Cause they're anime fans. Anime fans are angry about everything. It's why I like hanging around them online. I don't even like anime, I just like watching anime fans in their natural habitat - the ********* . It's like going to the zoo, except someone gave the chimpanzees swords and taught them how to fight.
Hell hath no fury like an anime fan scorned. They're basically an endless source of rage, which feeds itself to keep going, possibly the closest humanity has come to achieving true perpetual motion. I mean, **** , the Evangelion "best girl" **** has been going on for 20 years now. 20 ******* years. For a quarter of a human life, people have been arguing whether the character with the personality of a tranquilized matress is better than a character with the personality of a PMSing wolverine. Amazing, when you think about it.
Most elite troops Japan has to offer sounds to me like Canadian standard infantry. Of course I'm not experienced in the matter but Japanese troops have no actual experience. Well equipped, sure, but that doesn't matter in a small scale firefight.
Everyone in Itamis group has tons of experience from the land beyond the gate
Also theyre elite as ****
But again, pretty much everything depends on being the ones to spring the trap
When the romans went against the germans they got destroyed since they got led into a canyon
Dont matter how good you are if someone else see you first with a gun
I don't think Itami's group was involved in the fight though. It was just Japanese Spec Ops, who wouldn't have really been used past the gate, considering it was more traditional warfare. On top of the fact that fighting in the gate counts as much for REAL experience as much as shooting a moving dummy does.
I could kill a guy from the 1200s if I was given a pistol. I couldn't kill somebody from the SAS 99 times out of 100. American and Russian special forces are counted among the best in the world, while realistically the Japanese counterpart would perform terribly (again mostly from lack of true experience)
Not like their spec ops would have a lack of experience
Theres different kinds of training for different pay grades and ranks
And you overestimate the SAS dudes, theyre not as impressive as you think, theres not really a counter against proper camping when they dont know youre there
No matter how much you train you will never be James Bond, shooting a gun isnt hard so any dick can luck out and get you
But 1 squad holding off 3 squads while suffering 0 casualties is very unrealistic. ESPECIALLY in anything drawn out when the enemy has time to get their bearings compared to just being mowed down in a few seconds.
Its an anime dude, irl Itami would never get any sort of decent position in the military since he doesnt give a **** about anything, the short chick would get her ******* ass whooped in a 1vSeveral Royal guards with swords and the enemy country would **** its ******* pants if it lost its whole army in one swoop
And I'm not complaining that it's propaganda. It's just that you need to understand it's there. I live in America, you have to be able to identify propaganda if you ever want to be taken seriously. Or something. I'm half asleep, going to bed.
I loved a lot of that show but it annoyed me how much they fapped to the Japanese military as if it was so far and above every other countries there was no contest. Also how every other country was evil for some reason.
They werent evil, they acted very normally.
You're the one that sees it as evil, whole new world of resources to take? Hell yeah every country wants to get in on that.
The **** do you mean they didn't act evil? I don't know what you think of America as but our President isn't prone to evil smirks before sending poorly trained kill squads into another country.
Christ the scene at the spa was pure **** seeing as for some reason the Japanese were the only ones with actual camouflage and Night vision despite the American's/Chinese clearly being able to move men and weapons into the country they decided to leave behind anything with a tactical advantage when going after foreign emissaries who were publicized as being defended by the Japanese military.
They werent untrained for one, and the anime made it kinda clear they not only underestimated their enemy but had barely any information about anything, understandable since they needed those "guests" and they had a really small period of time to get them.
I liked this anime, I did a lot of training with the JASDF and some ground combatives exercises with the JGSDF, it's nice to see them portrayed as badass for once.
