Yes, but it also means there are millions of universes where the one key difference is some stone is a few millimetres to the left.

That's the whole fun of it, YOU NEVER KNOW!

Butterfly effect. An alternate universe in which only a rock is a few milimeters to the left could eventually become a wholly different reality than ours.
#137 to #116 - mraye (07/02/2013) [-]
True, but at the same time, it would be the only difference.

I was thinking about that the other day. Like I was walking and I thought "In a different universe, I would have never thought this thought that I'm thinking about that universe right now." It was weird, I was just walking to the corner store to get Salt and Vinegar chips. But in an alternate universe I would have gotten Sour Cream and Onion. Yeah.

If there is a Multiverse, is there a Universe where the Multiverse theory isn't true?
User avatar #95 to #65 - megashot ONLINE (07/02/2013) [-]
since multiverse theory consists of every possible outcome to happen in a universe
a universe with a false multiverse theory is an impossible outcome
therfore, no

It's a paradox. A paradox is a question with two correct, contradicting answers. So, to answer your question, yes and no.

A universe where the multiverse theory isn't true pops in and out of existence with every quantum tick (the shortest amount of time that can exist)
#108 to #80 - John Cena (07/02/2013) [-]
And with every possible eventuality explored, that would make 50% of the infinite universes exist where the multiverse theory is false
#63 - John Cena (07/02/2013) [-]
there's still no universe where yamcha is useful.
User avatar #45 - snakefire (07/02/2013) [-]
If the multiverse theory is true does that mean there is another universe where the multiverse theory is false.
User avatar #48 to #45 - dragemit (07/02/2013) [-]
No, because the truth of multiverses would transcend truth within universes.
#54 to #45 - John Cena (07/02/2013) [-]
I don't think that's how it works. Laws are limited to a certain range. In the same way some laws vary from town to town or country to country, there could be laws that vary from universe to universe, but there could also be laws to the multiverse as a whole. These laws would hold true in all realities.
#66 to #45 - fezzo (07/02/2013) [-]
There could be a universe in which the multiverse theory isn't accepted, but if it wasn't true then that would mean our universe didn't exist. So that would be a bit weird.

So that either means our universe is the only one and there are no others, or the multiverse theory is indeed correct.
User avatar #67 to #45 - anonymoose ONLINE (07/02/2013) [-]
No, because in the multiverse theory, only things inside that particular universe can be different. The Multiverse is outside each individual universe.
#82 to #45 - fackyazombies (07/02/2013) [-]
It's a paradox, it has 2 correct answers. So really...the answer would be yes and no.
#110 to #45 - John Cena (07/02/2013) [-]
OR This could be one of said universes where the theory is false and we live in a constant state of existence and non-existence that we can't fully comprehend
User avatar #46 to #45 - mrawesomepotato (07/02/2013) [-]

You'd think if there were multiple universes there would be many that are advanced enough to travel from universe to universe making it confusing why ours has not been visited.
#24 to #21 - ninjabadger (07/02/2013) [-]
Maybe they have.... but this universe may look different to theirs...

If you're feeling lonely, then remember that there's an infinite amount of universes where you're ******* Emma Watson.

But then again, there are an infinite amount of universes where you aren't. Including this.

User avatar #88 to #85 - cullenatorguy (07/02/2013) [-]
No. Multiverse theory says there is a universe for every possible possibility. It is not possible for multiverse theory to not be true if it is true. For example, in all universes, gravity will still exist.
#89 to #85 - savstad (07/02/2013) [-]
I guess not, since if the multiverse theory is true then it is true for the entire multiverse and all universes in it.

There will, however, be a universe where newtons laws don't aply, and everything is made out of **** .
#2 - solarisofcelestia (07/01/2013) [-]
Yes. And also no. Maybe. Sometimes. And also always. After all it could happen, can happen, will happen, did happen, and is happening. The multiverse is a strange thing.
