Manga isnt always original. The evangelion manga came out a few days after the anime. Only reason the manga had the true ending was that they ran out of budget so they had to seel a few dvds then make end of eva
Light novels are just japanese novels sold in volumes
Visual novels are those psuedo-vidya game things that mostly end in porn
manga is japanese comic books
Doujinshi are fan fiction comic books
Death Note movie was garbage imo. I checked about last week and the US adaptation is finally moving forward. That main guy from Paper Towns(don't know his name, didn't watch that movie either) is going to play Light. He was also one of the choices for MCU Spider-Man. I don't really like him but I'll judge his performance after I see him in Death Note. I think their planned release date was 2017 or 2018. I'm somewhat excited. Death Note is pretty old now. Only die hard fans who enjoyed the 2nd season are excited and we all know how weabs will just hate on it because it's American. Everyone else is just meh and slightly interested. Had it not been in development hell for so long they definitely could've hyped it up for their original plans, like release date and especially with heartthrob Zac Efron as Light. Live Action films are generally disappointing regardless what the content says. I agree with halor, they're **** . I don't blame them. They fit ~25 episodes(>400 minutes) worth of content into a 2 hour film. Of course you'll end up with garbage in comparison. They're obviously doing it for money. The only reason I'm watching the US Death Note is because I want to compare hollywood to japanese adaptations. They've done it to a few other manga and anime like All You Need Is Kill/Edge of Tomorrow, which was ******* amazing(sad to see it under perform despite how well done the movie was), as well as Kite which was garbage like most American adaptations that have been released. Kite even had Sam L Jackson in it, so you can imagine how disappointed I was after finding out it was terrible. They're also making a US Ghost In The Shell with ScarJo. I have high hopes for that one but am ready to be disappointed yet again.
are you talking down to the people who detest dubbed anime, or the people who hate bad memesubs, like commie ETC?
Either way, you are wrong, and a faggot.
I don't think so. It's true that most manga are better than the anime, but as long as the anime keeps a low amount of filler and doesn't stray from the manga's story there isn't much to complain about. But manga is more convenient as you can read like 10 chapters in chapters in the amount of time it would take you to watch one episode and one episode has the amount of content of about 1-3 chapters. I prefer anime but I do see why manga can be considered better. This is why reasonable people say that anime is better for the action genre and sometimes drama where there's a lot of emotion that is better portrayed through acting.
light novels are fairly new on the international market and while there are a few mangas/animes based on light novels most original work is in manga form.
Sure there are a handful of popular anime/manga that were adaptations of LN but there are way more anime/manga based off of Visual Novels and there are way more orginal Manga than that are original Light Novels, you idiot. That list has less than 200 titles on it. You're literally implying that most adaptations in all of Japan from from that list. There are thousands of anime and manga you ******* dolt.
