Bleach opening 2 full That's the first anime I finished as well. I started off with Bleach and Naruto (I was 11 or something at the time, so I thought that was high quality **** at the time. Then again, Bleach does have some quality soundtracks. This is still one of my favourite songs) and afterwards watched Love Hina.

I had o idea what anime was until i was in 8th grade. I had seen it before because i watched a lot of toonami back in the day but i had no idea that the hows were anime. My first bad experience was when one of my weird classmates told me to look up a show called "elfen lied." He told me it was a really good show and i didn't know any better.

>MFW that first episode

Toaru Majutsu no Index.
It was 3 years, 1 month and 2 days ago, I decided I should give anime a shot and promised myself to watch the first anime I came upon a pic from on Funnyjunk.
Was very much not disappointed, it's still my favorite anime.

When i was younger I didnt know the difference between henati and anime so i stayed away from anime then somehow i cant remember i came across Darker Than Black and thats how i ruined my life.

The first anime I watched was InuYasha.
My mom would make me watch it with her, and it's really the only anime I like.

The original Ghost in the Shell movie caught my interest, though I was young enough at the time that I wasn't sure what this Japanimation was, and lumped it in with stuff like Titan AE. Disney for adults basically.

After that I started to catch bits and pieces of DBZ and Ronin Warriors on old Moltar hosted Toonami. Neat, but I didn't stick with it much. And then 2000 hit. Gundam Wing, Outlaw Star, and Tenchi Muyo all dropped on me just as I hit middle school and that trinity locked me in.

I don't watch much animu these days, but I still have a crazy soft spot for those shows.

Tenchi Muyo was the big one for me. It was a particularly happy Christmas one year about a decade ago when I found the dvd box set.

The first non popular anime I watched was probably Rurouni Kenshin, or rather, the Samurai X localization.
Even as a kid I never bought the "My sword can cut through anything except flesh" ******** .

I guess its just where I live Maryland because I knew alot all you had to do was talk it and random people would come up to you and say "Oh hey I remember that show when I was little" then like the whole class would be talking about anime.
User avatar #122 to #93 - animationhac (09/10/2015) [-]
Rurouni Kenshin wasn't popular? Everyone and their mom watched it on toonami when they aired it.

Played a game called "Blood+" back then on my Motorola KRZR, which lead me to the anime Blood+, which got me hooked to animes. To this day, it remains one of my favorites.

As with many people my age though, I saw Cardcaptor Sakura, Sailor Moon, and DBZ frequently on TV as a kid, but Blood+ is the one that hooked me up. That being said, I never liked and still don't like DBZ and Sailor Moon. Cardcaptor though, <3

.Hack was the tightest **** id ever seen besides DBZ when I was a kid and I was never the same after it. I still remember staying up to 2am just to watch it on tv because it came on after adult swim.

I started out with a mild case of SailorMoonitis, which eventually led to a case of DragonBallZiarrhea, which eventually spread into Trigunosis, CowboyBepox, and progressed on from there...

And I regret NONE of it.

Except NGE...
