Without spoling, can someone explain to me why everyone says FMA Brotherhood is better than the regular FMA anime? And if they think Brotherhood is better themselves?

I've already seen all of the FMA episodes, but I have only seen 5 episodes of Brotherhood and so far I find the original FMA better. I am contemplating whether I should keep watching Brotherhood or just stop now..

Brotherhood has a better story, especially in the second half. The first part of the series is identical between the two, and the first series seems better because it has a slower pace, but after the two split in story brotherhood becomes superior.

In Brotherhood, they explain how the Homunculi are made and why they are named after the deadly sins. The fights are a lot more intense. The story follows the manga a lot closer. The reason for the war in Liore is a lot more relevant to the story other than just another simple philosophers stone creation. A lot of characters are kept for longer periods. The story generally goes on a lot longer in terms of timeline for the world, not just episode amount. They show Hohenheim's background in a lot more detail. They explain more about Scar's Tattoo, and his brother's attempts at alchemy. They also explain how alchemy is actually used in a more plausible way than jsut shifts in plate tectonics. The depth of the story is far beyond the simple nature of the first series. Also, it is the one out of the two that really brings closure to the storyline.

Neither FMA is really superior.

The main differences are: The original FMA got so far ahead than the manga and had to start making **** up, while Brotherhood is a lot closer to the manga.

Though in theory you could surmise that both could coexist at the exact same time by assuming that there is perhaps a third plane of existence connected to the other two that converges occasionally when alchemists attempt forbidden actions and the divergence points in what happens start there, but are otherwise quite similar accounting for the differences between brotherhood and the original.

I watched both and I love both.
I did like the first one more, but Brotherhood is just as awesome.
And Roy is an even bigger badass.

The original anime, (Not brotherhood) is way better.

It's not necessarily "better" but I did like the story line more. You can't judge it from the first 5 episodes because they are practically the same in both.

yeah fma brotherhood's plot regarding homunculus, how they are made, the big baddie, a few good characters and other things especially the ending are nothing like fma. The plot really starts diverting after dublith.

Later in the series, the story gets much more epic, on a grander scale. Trust me, it'll be worth your time, you should totally watch it!
