Can Saitama stand a change against superman? I'm pretty sure he can't because superman is God-tier OP but it'd be cool to hear superman is a broken piece of **** and Saitama would get rekt from you guys.
I think the author said (jokingly?) that Saitama could destroy half the galaxy (or universe cant remember) in one super serious punch.
I would say that Saitama could win against Superman, but as has been said both Superman and Goku can fly. Taking personality into account, neither would destroy the Earth, and Goku would most likely not use flying to get an unfair edge based on his love for a good fight. This is why I think Goku could not win, though in his god forms he could probably survive a hit. Superman on the other hand has no upper limit to his power the way he is written.
That actually depends on which version of superman you are using. You can't say "superman has no upper limit" and use that for all supermen versions, since it is literally only true for one of them.
depends on the continuity of superman, in most continuities super mans weak **** compared to saitama with slightly above average super strength, sightly below average super speed, flight that takes awhile to build up momentum and isn't great at sharp turns, some meh laser vision, X-ray vision, super senses, and some pretty good durability.
Saitama on the other can blow apart mountains with the air pressure from his fists, move so fast that a guy who can move faster than rain drops couldn't even begin to comprehend his speed, take a blow straight to the back of the head capable of obliterating multiple sky scrapers without so much as flinching, swim through solid concrete like it was as soft as a mud bath, change the weather with a regular punch that completely obliterated someone that withstood an inferno capable of taking out multiple city blocks, and was able to outclass a 'god' level threat who seemed to be about on par with doomsday (a villian considered to be supermans equal if not superior in terms of raw power) like he was ******* nothing.
Even the flying him into space thing wouldn't work because Saitama was able to hold his breath on the moon long enough to literally jump back onto earth without to much stress.
That being said I've heard there's a few continuties of super man where his powers are basically just whatever will let him win in that situation so in those continuities I think superman would win. Like if he could make infinite clones of himself, rewind time or any of that **** .
people spend too much time trying to measure Saitamas strength and comparing feats and what not and completely overlook saitama's super power.
His super power is outright to 'win any fight in one punch'. *any* is the keyword.
All his other powers are completely in support only to this singular ability. He can take any damage because if he could be knocked out he wouldnt win a fight in one punch, his strength has no limits because if something could resist his punch he wouldnt win in one punch.
Even his destroying mountains with shockwaves alone means he doesnt need to even connect his punches to do its job. If he throws a punch at something he wins the fight, period. Whether or not the subject lives is purely up to Saitama.
Superman's strength varies by author and from one portrayal to the next. His power fluctuates and depends on outside forces, mental blocks etc. Superman Prime could indeed annihilate just about anything but if it is a fight saitama will win *in one punch*. As I heard one person put it, superman has no limits but can possibly fail, saitama has no limits and cannot possibly fail.
Above and beyond ALL of that is that OPM is a parody. The singular joke is how overpowered authors make their characters and saitama is the 'oh yeah? well MY character would win!'. Thats the joke, hes making fun of characters exactly like superman by having him always be stronger than his opponent. He is the what happens when someone reaches the absolute pinnacle of power and becomes bored with it.
Ultimately measuring saitama and superman is silly because Saitama is a joke, its truly an apple to oranges comparison and it seems like the only ones who *start* these debates are people announcing that superman would definitely win when they havnt even heard the punchline yet.
i feel like you haven't read the manga. so i'm just gonna tell ya: spoiler saitama gets into a fight in which he actually uses multiple punches on one guy saitama has no super power like you're describing. i personally believe he simply broke the threshold of human strength through intense training and "unlocked true human" potential or some ****
well yeah.i'm betting we'll only see saitama trying at the end as some 4th wall break against the author. because a 4th wall break author, like stan lee in marvel, would be the only one strong enough for even footing. i was just disproving this guys theory of a saitama having a superpower, especially a stupid one like "kills everything in one shot by magic"
Superman was "killed" by doomsday
If superman was kicked to the moon, he would feel pain
Saitama, however ,
"He also survived being kicked to the moon by Boros in his fully powered state, and going from the Earth to the moon and back with little to no damage from leaving and entering the Earth's atmosphere (only his clothes were burnt)."
I'm not saying he's win, but superman wouldn't just wipe the floor with him.
Goku died to a lazer not a ki blast, an actual pew pew lazer from some random guy in his strongest form to date. Saitama was made to be a parody of the stereotypical OP Main characters like Superman/Goku and would probably still beat them in one punch. The only thing that would beat Saitama easily would probably be the Super Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann just because of how ridiculous both of them are
STTGL wouldn't beat Saitama, but Saitama wouldn't beat STTGL. One has the power to beat anything in one punch, and one has the power to beat anything if it has the fighting spirit. It'd be an unstoppable force meeting an immoveable object.
He was on death door by it but plot devices kept him alive.
also Saitama was punched in the back of the head with enough force to break into a shelter specifically designed to withstand monsters while his guard was down. Didn't even faze him. He's been punched to the moon while off guard and simply jumped back.
the whole "He let his guard down so the lazer doesnt count" argument is stupid as hell, Goku should never let his guard down while fighting/in a zone where things like that could happen. Which just shows how cocky/stupid Goku actually is, he doesnt learn from his past mistakes or just thinks that hes plain strong enough that he doesnt have to have his guard up in a battle zone. With the amount of fights that Goku has been in, the amount that he has died or has witnessed his friends dying you would think that he'd have learnt a lesson or two.
Saitama is a character that literally has no limits to how strong he is while Goku has preset limits until the writer creates some ****** 'New super duper super saiyan 21 and a half" mode and the power level escalates further and further just so the story never has to end.
That's more of a tough one since, even though he's died, he's come back stronger each time, to the point where he could destroy planets, which saitama has yet to do.
Saitama's main powers are his insane strength and speed. In Raw physical strength, it can be assumed that saitama has the advantage ( he's blown a hole through a mountain by the shockwave of his punch alone, it didn't connect) and is just as fast as goku ON FOOT. Saitama can't fly and doesn't have laser beams. Goku could just fly around and pew pew the **** outta saitama all day and no one would get anywhere, but if goku blew up the planet then it would be over. Same if sups blew up the planet
read the mango if you really want to learn about how strong Saitama is, the anime does a relatively decent job at showing it but the mango does a much better job of showing just how strong he is, and even then it doesnt show the full extent of his power due to it being a parody mango that plays on the Overpowered Main Character trope.
I hate how people ignore the fact that Saitama hasn't taken damage yet when they make their arguments and focus too much on the power of his punches. ***** got kicked into the moon and that didn't even scratch him.
