well i prefer (or whatever the fuck it's spelled) non-mecha though i might watch it in the future. i think that mechas make the fights boring because the characters don't really get too hurt in those. though NOT REALLY SPOILER CUZ EVERYONE KNOWS THANK YOU INTERNET Kamina's death was already spoiled so that really impacts the enjoyment for me.

i fucking hated the main characters too, don't worry bro.

Fucking everyone was perfectly crafted to make the best development possible.
Then they threw in a typical anime protagonist since Evangelion and a typical yandere co-protagonist. That's the only way I can describe it.
Also the manga version I read was traduced by some people with sense of humor.

I agree that the side characters were awesome, but I really like Yuno.

Perhaps, but let's face it, he's in middle school. How do you expect a normal middle school student to react? If anything it makes him a more realistic character than someone who suddenly and inexplicably turns into a complete badass.

No, his charter changes later after he faces all sorts of trials and challenges; that's character development. If he had done a complete 180 in say, 24 hours, with no explanation as to why he had done that, then that would just be character convenience.
