the training would not really work in the long run, but as a beginning/midway point it's okay, the stronger and fitter you get the heavier and more you have to train to actually be fit.

it will never work because they forgot to not use the a/c or heat to be mentally strong

Well, depends on what you wanna call fit.
I mean, it's the basic "High rep + low stress/weight = Endurance" schpiel.

Of course, for explosive strength And looking buff if you care about that then you have to of course do what you described.
